I really like the detailed information her. However there is something that disturbs me a bit and that are the page long, I don't know, sidebars. For me this disrupts the reading experience since I have to go back and forth in the document and I kind of feel it cancels out the purpose of a sidebar. If they are not ment to be sidebars than I find it even more confusing to have to two texts in two columns over more than one page. I feel that could be made better. On the other hand I really like the source index. There is a lot of information out there and to see where it came from in this PDF is great. Also that you have bookmarks and functioning links is also a nice to have. Except a background and a magic item all character material is a second pdf which is okay. Personally I have no problem if they were merged together. Here you get options for clerics, paladins and bards. They look solid and not overpowered. Same goes for the spells and feats. A bit confusing maybe is that all versions of the Sword Dancer (Domain) are included, the current one should be enough in my opinion. Yet, it is not really a deal breaker. The final nice touch is that the used artwork is also included separately.

Thanks for the kind review. The reason why I included multiple versions of the Sword Dancer of Eilistraee is that the old subclass had a few mechanics that I really liked (tying the benefits of the battle dance and the DC of the pacify to a Performance roll), but that couldn't make it into the balanced version of the domain. I left the old version there in case someone had ideas on how to balance those mechanics to fit 5e.

Amazing read, do you have more products like this? I'd love to find out more about the lore of D&D where all of the info is in one place. It'd be cool if it was formated a bit better and had some more art, but it's still a great document and worth the read! Thanks for making it. Edit: If you'd like a hand when Mordenkainen comes out, let me know, I read below that you're pretty busy and I'd like to help if I can!

I'm glad that you enjoyed the read, and thank you for the offer! I don't have further documents like this. I wrote this pdf because Eilistraee means a lot to me, so I just wanted as many people as possible to learn about her and what she stands for. While I enjoy most of the D&D lore, this goddess is the only part of it that I feel strongly about, so I lack the motivation to put together other documents like this (it's a lot of work). If you're looking for more FR deity-lore, I suggest you check out Johnny Tek's deity pamphlets (for example: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/237278/SILVANUS-Keeper-of-Nature--Forgotten-Realms-5e). They're polished, well written, and updated to the status quo. Thank you for taking the time to review.

An amazingly true-to-source conversion of 2nd Editions specialty priest. I have been  thinking of doing it myself but this saved me alot of work. I will  make a few tweaks myself as I am concerned that it is a bit over the top as it is. That's purely personal taste though.

Hi, Trisha, thanks for the kind review. Would you be willing to share the tweaks that you made to the class? I ask because I'm gathering feedback for a future update of this document (probably after the release of the Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, as to include the info about Eilistraee that the book will contain in this document)

This is an amazingly dense, well-researched, and meticulously sourced treatise on the drow goddess Eilistraee and her followers. The breadth and depth of infomation included is incredible, and this resource is invaluable for campaigns or players seeking to incorporate Eilistraee into their campaigns. No stone seems to have been left unturned in the author's research, and an extensive works cited page allows the reader to delve even further into the stories of Eilistraee by tracking down the materials referenced. This is exceedingly handy for drow-centric campaigns, or anyone seeking to explore non-Lolthite drow.

I have a few small reservations about the systems presented for Sword Dancers, though I have not seen them in play, I feel that the alternate spellcasting ability and effective immunity to opportunity attacks create balancing issues (I would recommend a disengage bonus action every turn to correct the latter.) I also find the background texture a bit distracting, in particular, the center fold on each page. There are also a few sidebars that the shading seems misplaced on.

Overall, I recommend this product, despite my relatively minor critiques.

FOLLOW UP: I do look forward to the changes the author talks about below and will be happy to revisit upn updates. I too cannot WAIT to see what Tome of Foes has in store!

Thank you for the kind review. Your idea to replace the full-immunity to AdO is quite sound actually. I'm considering changing it to granting immunity to AdO from targets that the priestess has attacked during the round, in addition to the disengage bonus action. I'd update the documentASAP, but I've lost my original world file, and I'm currently too busy with RL stuff to remake the document. I will keep in mind for when I'm finally less loaded. I'm going to need to update this file anyway, since the upcoming Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes has just been confirmed to include a section about Eilistraee, and that's going to be added to this document.
Oh, and by AdO I meant opportunity attacks. I don't know why I used that acronym...

As a DM with a paladin of Eilistraee in my campaign, this has been an invaluable resource. Although I don't follow the absolute canon, this is chock full of food for thought and gives me great ideas for things that could happen during our campaign. Thank you so much for this!
