Preface, the content is great. The book itself is wonderful lore and I would love to own a physical copy. However the scan is incredibly difficult to look at and read. Part of the problem is the background which is multiple shades of light blue in a pattern like the sky. To my eyes at least it makes it harder to see the writing because of the contrast. And that is probably my biggest complaint since I am relativly use to reading the small print of TSR publications on screens. This is just one of the hardest to bear.

I would like to start off by saying I own the hard copies of all three within this series (Faiths & Avatars, Powers & Pantheons, and Demihuman Deities) and the content is excellent. You can read my review of F&A under that title where I give a number of kudos and reasons for purchasing. I purchased the PDF copy of F&A, and was very happy with my purchase because it was a proper PDF. It was properly bookmarked, the text was searchable and selectable, etc. Because I was happy with the F&A PDF, I moved forward with purchasing the PDFs for P&P and DD.

THIS PDF for Demihuman Deities is abolutely terrible!!! The scan quality is quite poor, it's not searchable, and most of the pages do not contain text...just the poor-quality scan image of the page. If you do stumble upon some actual text, it's completely garbled and unuseable....here's an example:

Novices of UrnenIan are known as Fanhlinga. Full prieni of He Who Must Be are ham M Vwala of the Black Hound. In mending d e r of rank, the tides wcd by Urogalanan priesw are Esrth Embracer, Soil Dig. per, Clay Potter, Dlarun Smith, Grave Guardian, Crypt Sentinel, Vault Manhal, Barrow Warden, and Black Hound. High-ranking priesw have unique individual titles. Specialty priests are known M grimwardens. The clergy of Urogalan includes hairfeet (E%)s,to uts (65%), and tallfellows (10%). Urogalan'a clergy Is nearly evenly divided between specialty priesta (54%) and clerics (46%) and between men (55%) and women (45%). Doma: Enrth la the glver and the receiver of life, providing shelter, food, and wealth to those whox tces embrace it. The sacred 0011 la to be revered M the mantle of Thm who Have Been and the shelter of Thox Who Will Be. The thanatopsls of He Who Muat h meals that death to be embraced a i the nnmral end of life and in doing IO gives honor to life.

I'm beyond dissatisfield, but I'm trying to maintain a civil tone here. The publisher needs to fix this and provide a proper PDF like they did for F&A. I highly recommend NOT purchasing this title until the publisher fixes it!

I have no problems with the content of this supplement, but have been very disappointed with the quality of the scan. I have the other similar PDF supplements (F&A and P&P) and "Faiths & Avatars" is far higher quality image than either this one or Powers and Pantheons. Twice the size, but much more usable and readable.

These books add so much depth and flavour to running clerics and religions in any campaign. This one especially so as the deities covered are assumed to be generic race deities.

The only problem I have is that the font is a small font on an overly fussy background. While this was slightly inconvenient in a paper product it makes the electronic product a real pain to read.
