It's a bit of a mixed bag. Some modules are very limited with lots of samey monsters and empty rooms, others seem interesting but murderous...none of them is really what I would call perfect introduction to DnD. But it is still a bargain in this collection.

Cool module compilation. Offers some nice tie-together campaign options. Lots of potential play. Scan is acceptable, not great.

first, i want to give praise to the Customer Support when i reached out to them. i got the book, but it's printing was soooo poor, scanned printing way off, the glue binding was piss poor from pages 1-49, and it was good after page 50. after i got in contact and showed proof of the terrible binding and printing, they shipped it for free and much better print!

now, the book itself, this book is written as having all of the dungeons, and events from the B1-9, think of this as a Greatest Hits album versus buying individual albums. you get the best of from the B modules and either re-written or re-worked to connect all of these adventures as a giant campaign book.

the scans are good, the maps are easy to read, and the text is pretty good to read through as well. i also like the little texts underneath the modules and explain some behind the scenes info and such.

this is a handy book to run all of the modules as a giant campaign within the Known World of Mystara, it also tells you where your primarily city you will be going back to and which reigon.

overall, if you have any of the B modules and are running those, definitely use those, but if you want a condensed version of the B modules, this is a great book as well.

Nice binding and printing...only negative comment: No title on the spine like the rest of what I ordered, or like the original.

This review is exclusively for the print on demand softcover book ordered on June 5, 2018. Print quality is identical in appearance to the current .pdf file. slightly blurry and not crisp. Completely servicable and useable but not as crisp as the orginal. Print has a faded grey color to it not the bold black of the orginial. Maps are serviceable with bluring and a hazy halo around numbers, this is also exhibited on page numbers throughout the book. All in all a very useable play copy that could benefit from a better quailty source scan.

The progenitor of d20 adventure paths, this compilation of previously published adventures has been forged to form a story arc that will take characters from Level 1 to Level 10 during actual play. Well-written and fun, this compilation caters to both the nostalgia hound and the die-hard D&D gamer who hasn't yet moved on to more recent editions of the game.

Previous reviews have suggested that this product is difficult to use due to poor scanning. While 'In Search of Adventure' isn't a top-notch modern product, I've had no problem reading it myself.

Overall this combines most of the B-Series of classic D&D adventures and makes some effort to combine them into a sequential campaign. It is relatively successful, though if you want to bring it up to date, be prepared to do some work.

Essentially it is what it is, a bargain pack of classic D&D adventures. None are truly spectacular, though most are serviceable and might well 'scratch the itch' of old school fans or someone wanting to try out pre 3.5 stuff.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: LOTS of material for the price. The quality is acceptable and a few really nice touches are to be found in amongst the adventures. For the DM with some time to flesh it out, this could actually be a very good campaign setting. For the DM without such time, its still a valuable dungeon crawl collection with some plot.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The campaign concept itself isn't really fulfilled, and some material from the original adventure modules has been removed (for space I guess) which is a shame. Still, as mentioned above, it's a bargain pack, so the complaint is hardly a big one.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

The PDF is indeed of marginal quality, though not nearly as bad as previous comments led me to expect.

The contents more than make up for the rough quality of the scans. Rather than simply a collection of of modules B1 through B9, you get a low-level campaign using reworked elements of the nine modules and integrating them into the Grand Duchy of Karameikos (Gazetter 1).

This reworking, however, does mean some elements have been omitted, most noticeably the keep from Keep on the Borderlands (the Caves of Chaos feature, though) and little if any of B1. Others (B3, B6, B7) are largely intact.

All in all, this gets 5 stars for its own content, though only 2.5 if you're looking for B1 through B9 in their entirety. For PDF quality, it rates a rather charitable 2, legible, though murder to print.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: PDF not of the best quality.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>
