Seasonal adventure which may make an annual appearance. Role-play and dice offs plus a combat/diplomacy encounter at the end. The common items are fun but there was some confusion on whether they counted against MIC at the time of release.

Ran this adventure with a small group of 3 and it worked really well. High amount of RP and investigation combined with a seasonally thematic encounter at the end with additional opportunities for a diplomatic solution. As a mystery it is more difficult to run again for the same players but it also has good encounters with recurring NPCs in Phlan.

Enjoyable module with a mix of Phlan NPCs, puzzles, and combat. The finale encounter was not combat required which a group may find refreshing. This one played within the time alotted and it was nice to see the connection to DDEX1-6 The Scroll Thief and Mantol's Library to connect them together and generally to the Pool of Radiance plotline. The drawbacks are the 4 hour run-time for store play and the limited XP (tuned for level 2) but should work better in a convention or home play environment in Season 8.

Season 6 was sparse for AL specific modules and this one serves up an alternate entrance for Forge of Fury. Overal an enjoyable module but probably better suited for a more tactical party than my normal collection of store random players (many of which are new). This adventure also lacked NPCs outside of the dungeon and generally the TotYP adventures are too long to run at the store so it felt disconnected from anything else we were running. The final encounter has a spell selection that I wouldn't use for a Tier 1 but may be appropriate if the entire group is 3rd or higher. With the changes to advancement in season 8 I think it would be difficult to pair this with Forge of Fury since the module itself is already too long for a 3-4 level span and this extra 2 hours may put it over.

Enjoyable Tier 1 module that can run a bit long. The two stage final encounter is fun and can be done from more than one angle. The earlier encounters have options as well which help replayability. This is one of the first adventures I've seen with special downtime activities related specifically to the site which my players jumped on. In retrospect I'm not sure if the downtime use was worth it, but no one really complained.

Enjoyable adventure with a bit of roleplay tacked on the front. The location was memorable but this module suffers from the early plethora of Tier 1 modules tuned for level 2 characters. The low challenge and experience rewards for a module of this length make it disappointing for players for the time spent. It also plays long and went beyond the target time of 2 hours.
With the changes to Player advancement it may bring the rewards in TP and CAP up to the standard for season 8 but it will still need focused play to complete in the time alloted.

A solid mystery/chase adventure with much more than average replayability. A nice plot tree lays out the structure of the adventure and the locations are intriguing. This is one of the few adventures I have run and played and I expect I will run it more in the future. The handouts are also nice.

Very fun adventure used as a fill in very my group going through HotDQ. The first season has a small cast of memorable characters and they help Phlan come to life. The Pool of Radiance plot is woven throughout the adventures and although I haven't read any stories on it or played the old video game the basics of the plot were clear. The race against the clock gave an added aspect appreciated in the second tier or adventuring and the finale was exciting.

Mystery adventure with some interesting NPCs. The build up before the main location seemed to drag on and when keeping the action moving it began to feel like to railroad for some of the players. The overall flow is pretty linear and given the choice points on the island if they make a wrong choice a level 2 party will have a rough time of it. The scenes are nice thematically but I don't think I'd be excited about rerunning this. As an early Expeditions module this is also part of a season that over loads on the Level 2 adventures and all the adventures after the first are 4 hours or longer which isn't a good fit for mid-week store play. Looking back with hindsight over the many seasons since I think this may have been much stronger as a Tier 2 adventure with the fiendish elements.

Thoroughly enjoyed running this adventure. As one of the longer Tier 1 season 4 adventures this is harder to run midweek but it worked great at a time when we could go over. The mechanics of the Siege points made good options to speed up the fight at the end and if they hadn't picked up a lot of points the fights may have gone very long. This one benefits strongly from having played through the adventures in order and can be very confusing when you have a lot of player turnover or inconsistency. 'Orc baby' scenarios bother me but fortunately me table didn't take the bait and make it an issue. As a player it did come up when I got to play it and it bothered me quite a bit.

This adventure runs over 2 hours unless you make sure to feed the party enough breadcrumbs to keep it moving. One of the big appeals for Season 5 is the number of 2 hour adventures to keep store play within a Wednesday night schedule and this adventure can go long easily. Overall this one is hard to replay although choosing to rush through a different segment each time can mix it up in addition to shuffling the NPC roles around. I'd run it again but it plays better with a group of players that haven't done it before.

Great introduction to the 5th season. This escort mission has choices and consequences and opportunities to roleplay with others in the caravan. There also multiple options during the combat portion which make for replay options. This and the follow-up adventures in Parnast make a strong series of short adventures for weekly store play.

Solid adventure with Role-play opportunities and branching outcomes. It helps if the players have previous experience in the town but that is always an issue with the 2 hour adventures. Some day I expect this will be an adventure I 'deja vu' on since it is a nice low level adventure.

As a DM I think some of the purchase options need stronger hooks since dropping gold on an unknown shouldn't be guesswork.

Of the 8 Season 7 modules I have run this one shows the most need for more editing.

The in-town episode goes well and and jungle scenario was fun.

I continue to get tripped up reading the box text in the last section as the whole thing is a mess that usually ends up fun anyway as the party usually is itching for a fight after the first couple acts.

It seems like there is a missing encounter here that was cut for time but never cleaned up in the edit. The loot handoff seems awkward and I would probably involve it with one of the special shop articles in the future.

I liked the options on the way to the shrine which should help replayability. Overall the temple was a nice environment bottlenecked by the map.

The final encounter was not memorable but I would expect that running this multiple times would help in knowing what needs tweaking to make the scenarios more of a challenge.

I expect to run this fairly often because I think it has potention that didn't come out on the initial run through.
