Loving this archetype! I'm playing as a young gunslinger in Waterdeep, who holds the secrets of black powder (my DM knows nothing of CR, let alone Victor of Vasselheim!) and is hounded by his Guild Master to give up this information. Meanwhile, he is burdened with a portable forge in which ammunition is made and weapons are tinkered. Thank you so much Matt Mercer for making this accessible to all players.

What a revelation this set of modules has been to me as a new DM. I am running a women-only table at a gaming cafe. All new players and me, a fairly new DM (but massively influenced and inspired by Matt Mercer) had a great time. First rule of table top gaming is ensure that you rplayers have fun. We have explored role play, combat, planning, skill checks and character interaction in so many ways. The party rogue in particular has delved deep into the Factions in Phlan and all players are eager to keep going through the missions. Thanks WotC, you're making a proper DM of me!

I ran some kids games before Xmas and this module was recommended in a Twitter conversation with the author. The little kids I ran it for had no clue about D&D but this was easy to adapt into a kind of kids Jackanory type adventure. They saved the cake, they got presents, the ogre was sorry... all good. Highly recommended as an introduction for young kids who want to try D&D.

Thank you so much for the review! I am happy to hear the young heroes at your table had fun with our little story. Be on the lookout for a collection of family-friendly adventures from some of the Guild's best coming in Spring. :D

I ran this for a New Years overnight game, one of my first attempts to DM a module. Great fun but did require a bit of railroading for the "boss" to reveal his secret plan. A fun one to build up to and run, easy to run for grown-ups starting out with 5th Ed.

5e Race: The Neko

I played this as a ranger in The Princes of The Apocalypse story arc and really enjoyed the character! Heka was a quick, nimble and talented ranger who rose to be captain of the guard at the end of the adventure. Her talents for sneaking, leaping and tracking were extremely useful and in close combat, those claws were most effective. This race came out before there were tabaxi and after Skyrim's cat-people, but I think it surpasses them both for versatility and depth.
