After the heroic rescue of Renaer Neverember, the group is bestowed with the Trollskull Manor, a property located in the city's most prestigious neighborhood. However, the grandeur of the reward is overshadowed by the property's decay, requiring a restoration that promises to empty their pockets. A creative solution emerges: a Gala Ball, an opportunity to raise the necessary funds. Yet, amidst dances and toasts, will this endeavor be as straightforward as it seems?

The characters in Waterdeep Dragon Heist have just acquired Trollskull Manor at the end of the first chapter, but it's in ruins and urgently needs renovations. As a Dungeon Master, you might be wondering how many missions will be necessary to gather resources for the repairs. 'A Night of Noble Endeavors' offers an alternative mission to tackle the refurbishment of Trollskull Manor while also enriching your campaign. The idea is to host a Gala Ball with a secret goal: to raise funds and establish essential partnerships for the mansion's restoration.

Adding this extra quest to your Dragon Heist campaign brings multiple advantages:

• It enables more natural introduction of crucial or lesser-known NPCs, like Mirt the Moneylender, Esvelle Rosznar, the Gralhunds and the Cassalanters.

• The characters are thrust into Waterdeep’s high society, paving the way to meet various nobles and form valuable connections.

• The Ball provides a great chance to add narrative elements such as foreshadowing, hinting at major upcoming events in the campaign.

• This mission is perfect for groups who enjoy roleplay, as it heavily focuses on character portrayal and improvisation.

This guide contains:

• A detailed introduction setting the stage for the Ball. This section features an intimate dinner among Renaer, Mirt, and Esvelle, offering various hints and motivations for the NPCs.

• A comprehensive dossier on all noble families attending the Ball. This includes information on each Noble House, their topics of interest, and those the characters should avoid.

• The division of the quest into three main acts: The Arrival, The Ballroom, and the Dinner. Each act comes with text blocks to help set the scene for players, suggestions for conversation topics, and more.

• Several tips to assist you, the Dungeon Master, in managing the complexities of interactions between multiple NPCs.

• Two original artworks of crucial NPCs from the campaign, featuring an exclusive piece of the Cassalanters. These illustrations are ideal for showing to players, enriching the visual experience of the adventure.

• Ready-to-use tokens for your Virtual Tabletop (VTT) of choice, along with 12 additional handouts for the Noble Houses dossiers, expanding the resources available to enhance your gaming session.

A Night of Noble Endeavors is a very valuable addition for groups focused on roleplay, and for those groups focused on combat it just serves as a narrative breather. Dragon Heist is a very interesting adventure, but one of the sins of the offi [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
