The Witch, a 5e Class

Witches are unique magic users. A combination of study and natural prowess, they draw their energy from manfiestations upon the surrounding world, able to gleam divine conjurations while weaving arcane threads, combining magical disiciplines with secrets learned from sources those of a more traditional education are prone to ignore.

There's wizards, warlocks, and sorcerers, but now it's time for witches! There's other variations on this concept out there, but what makes this one unique is the lack of Vancian Magic (no spell slots), and passive (scaling) enhancements that take the place of cantrips, allowing you to create a caster that relies on weapons, familiars, or even simply buffs their allies instead of spamming fire bolt in between spells.

Also, there's a subclass that makes you a Hag. Get them souls.

The Witch offers three "Covens", or subclasses, between the Hag, Winter, and Witch Knight Covens, albeit the Hag coven possesses three distinct paths within, allowing for even deeper customization.
