The definitive compendium of magic armor in 5E D&D – a comprehensive system for creating magic armors, 100+ new simple and complex magic armors & much more!

Nybor’s Tome of Enchanted Armor provides DMs and players with new unique magic armors – plus a system that allows any DM or player to easily create thousands of new, powerful, interesting, and diverse magic armors in a matter of seconds!

Chapter 1: Enchanter's Guide

A complete how-to-guide for creating magic armors using the 100+ magic properties in the book:

  • Creating unique magic items by combining & upgrading magic enchantments
  • Determining value & rarity of unique magic items
  • Expanded crafting rules for characters who want to craft their own magic items

Chapter 2: Unique Magic Armors

A collection of 33 unique and flavorful magic armors ready-to-use in your game, including:

  • Ghostscale – because who doesn't want to walk through walls?
  • Plate of the Savior – a legendary plate for those who want to protect their allies as much as themselves.
  • Third Eye Shield – a shield that helps watch your back!

...and many more!

Chapter 3: Armor Enchantments

100 enchantments for magic armors in uncommon and rare versions (+ random rolling tables!), such as:

  • Contingency – store a spell in your armor for those clutch last-second saves!
  • Duskwood – jump freely from shadow to shadow.
  • War Caster's – increase your defense by casting spells!

...and many more!

Chapter 4: Additional Enchantments

Make your magic armor even more special with common and curse enchantments, like:

  • Skinlike – let anyone with a torso wear light armor – who cares about proficiency?
  • Honesty – because giving a character a curse that means they can't lie is peak D&D!
  • Sabotage – a curse that makes the unfortunate target vulnerable to a specific creature type

...and many more!

First, love these works. Second, the Empathy enchantment on page 36 should be updated. The uncommon version as written is unlimited. The rare version has a higher DC and three charges. But as written currently there's no use for the charges. Same goes for Giant armor

Haste armor doesn't specify an action or bonus action to activate

Hi Casey

First, thank you so much for the kind words, that means a lot! :)

Also thanks for your keen eye, it's really appreciated. I've fixed 'Empathy', that's a clear oversight on our part. Regarding 'Giant', it should already specify that "Once used, this property can't be used again until the next dawn." As for 'Haste', that's intentional - it's a free action to activate (but only on your turn), since it otherwise would be less beneficial to gain haste for such a limited time.

I've uploaded a version 1.1. with the fix to Empathy. Thanks again for taking the time to look through it and let us know, it really helps us out a lot. If you are able, we'd also love your rating/review :)

Best regards,
J. A. Valeur

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
