$4.99

An Adventurers League Con-Created Content Module. Levels 1-4 (Tier 1), 2-4 Hours. (Compatible with Homebrew games too!)

May I have the next 100 words to convince you to purchase this adventure?

**PITCH BEGINS!**

This module features three ways to play: join the Knights of Holy Judgment, the Cult of Zariel, or the forces of Chaos as you search for a lost Angel of Tyr, Ser Vindictus. Play like it is 1990 and experience the first Adventurer’s League module to use 16-bit art for maps, tokens, NPC portraits, and magic items!

Each purchase includes the PDF, Fantasy Grounds module, four maps, 15 tokens, comic art for the backstory, and an imaginary high five from the author. Make a DC 92 Wisdom saving throw. On a success, reroll! On a failed save, buy this adventure!

**PITCH ENDS!**

Author’s note: This is part one of a two part Tier 1 series. I plan to make future Verses if these do well and people like them. Thanks for looking at my adventure and please leave an honest review!

I love the branching story in this module, every option seems made to allow players to make the choices that feel natural to their character. The beginning of this module could be seen as being a bit slow, but it allowed some of the best role play I've had at my table. Besides the pay off is more than worth it!

Question: Is there a gridless version of the map 04-cave?

Victor, I just added it to the Maps folder, you should be able to download it now.

Noted there is no story award for "Orianna Mafisto Feast Events" (trying to avoid spoilers for future players). This was a fun part of the adventure with lasting consequences, but without an explicit story award may be difficult to apply to other AL games or future episodes. Is this intentional ?

Ian, this is intentional, as it really is supposed to come into play if you cast “summon Demon/Devil” type spells that give you benefits if you know a demon/devils “true name”. Like many other adventures, that doesn’t require a story award.

Thanks Anthony for the response, and thanks again for a top notch adventure! I'll keep a note in the characters log if it should come up.

Had the pleasure of playing Part 1 & 2 @ Aethercon, though with a different group for each. Absolutely some of the best tier 1 adventures I've played, and I can't wait to run them at an AL table as soon as possible, and keep up my sleeve for campaigns in the future that turn a little lawful or evil. For me, this is one of the first adventures I've played that really made me engage with my characters alignment while still sticking to the broader wishes of a mixed alignment party. There is a lot to offer her for more neutral / Chaotic groups, as well as a tight knit lawful or semi-evil group.

Part 1 is a predominantly single location adventure, with some opportunities for great role-playing, and some memorable fights that genuinely allows players to have their choices make a difference. This is the first adventure in AL I've played that made me seriously consider my characters future, along with their class and alignment. Loved it. More please!

Big thanks to Anthony for a great adventure,...See more

The FG mod built-in is really the one that's going to push me over the edge on this purchase. We hope more authors avail of the option. I return a crisp high-five and a promise to have this in my library over the next few days.

I had the privilege of playing this (and Verse II) with the author. There are only a few mondules that stand out head and shoulders above the rest. This is one. The graphics (maybe limited to online play, but fabulous nonetheless) were outstanding, the NPCs three-dimensionsional, and the choices have meaning (I know, I apparently took the wrong path). I highly recommend it.

This adventure really sets the bar for what a module should be. The adventure is loads of fun to play and will keep you on the edge of your seats (hopefully your character will make better decisions than mine did). I had the pleasure of playtesting a very early version of Verse 1 and then played Verse 2 during it's premier at Aether Con. The retro-video game feel of the tokens, maps & artwork is the icing on the cake to this amazing adventure!

It has been really great watching the development of this adventure series. The love put into this adventure is an inspiration and can be seen from the front cover all the way to the back. Anthony and team has done a fantastic job here, and I look forward to running this story at myblocal store and at our regions conventions.

Simply put, these modules set new expectations for what AL adventures should look like. The plot is gripping, the NPC's engaging, and the choices you make *actually matter*. On my reputation as a reviewer, I am confident you will *not* regret buying these modules. 4.5 stars!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
