I saw some people questioned how Rhacoph gets into his coffin. There is a very tiny, dry channel at the base of the statue on the island to the underwater statue/coffin. :)

Were the bone nagas in the bonus objective B guardian or spirit nagas in life? Or is it DM choice?

Hello Nick! The new format and guidelines for season 8 adventures were implemented to stress DM choice and creativity. The bone nagas in Bonus Objective B are an example of this. Just go ahead and choose whatever version of the bone nagas will work best for your storyline and to use against the players. Personally, I tend to run it with one of each just to have variety but feel free to do whatever you’d like.

I hope this helps you out. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hey folks! Something happened and Ouida was lost in the layout process. Wizards is currently working on fixing it but I don’t know when that would be. In the meantime, know that Ouida is a human priestess of Shar. You should be able to just use the NPC priest stats for her.

Additionally, the spawn with Rhacolph are also bullywugs. :)

So Detta is level 9, Ingemar and Vydis are level 12, Sycunda the younger brother is level 20 (!!!), and we should use the level 5 priest stats for Ouida? The Drow Priestess of Lloth is level 13 and makes more sense if you remove the racial attributes. If your tier 2 group is especially beefy and coordinated, a level 18 War Priest would be a strong add to the party.

The main idea with this party was, at various times, they were dominated by the Scourges and initially were not nessesarily all traveling together. As such, they are all of differing levels and abilities. Mechanically, the lower level characters should (at least a little bit) makeup for the higher level characters in balancing the fight.

Additionally, this is meant as a roleplaying enounter - but adventures sometimes are spoiling for a fight or do the unexpected! Should the adventures choose to fight the NPCs, if run correctly, you shouldn’t need Ouida to be higher level. Sycunda is brutal in that he can create globes of darkness with his attacks and use them either to teleport or to do additional damage to a target - on each of his turns. He also has the ability to cast darkness himself, allowing him additional battlefield tactical abilities. And while you are viewing them as XX level, he is CR11 (Yes, I know the CR system has its flaws. The CR system in every edition has had that problem! :-)...See more

I will assume Oudia is Drow Priestess of Lolth.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
