Legacy of Vecna

Imagine a world where Tiamat was summoned successfully. Where the Princes of Elemental Evil tread unfettered. Where Demogorgon prowls the Underdark with the Wand of Orcus, leaving an army of undead in his wake. Where the storm giants have been cast to the bottom of the Ordning. Where Baldur's Gate has been banished to the Nine Hells. . . .

Imagine a world where good has lost and evil prevailed.

The Sword Coast has been divvied up by the Zhentarim, the mountain giants of Grudd Haug, the Cult of the Dragon, and many other sinister factions. But above them all loomed the Archlich Vecna, who has orchestrated or exploited a series of ever-escalating calamities to conquer the very Realms themselves.

But even in the darkest timeline life endures. And an unlikely band of heroes rose up and defeated the Whispered One.

But his Legacy remains.

Unveil the Mysteries of the Serpent

This epic-level adventure is designed to take players from 20th to 25th level, although it can be easily adapted to take players from 15th to 20th level. It can be run as a continuation of Fall of Vecna or Eve of Ruin as well as a stand-alone adventure for brand-new characters. Its modular nature allows DMs to selectively pick and choose content to embed within their own homebrew campaign.

For those brave enough to play Legacy of Vecna in its entirety, they can expect to:

  • Assault the Bloodstone Temple of Ch’Chitl, culminating in a battle with the Demon Lord Orcus!

  • Race against time exploring Mordenkainen’s Interdimensional Tower as it hurdles its way through the Abyss towards the Void at the Bottom of Everything!

  • Explore a Doomed version of the planar hub Sigil, and complete numerous side quests to help defuse the city’s rising tension.

  • Trek through the Doomed Outlands to stop the ravages of an orcish legion led by Gruumsh himself. Or, for those more diplomatically inclined, finally bring peace to the age-old feud between the elves and the orcs.

  • Revisit the Armory from Die, Vecna, Die to find Vecna’s last and most loyal lieutenant, the Bronze Lich Osterneth!

  • Unlock long-held mysteries of the multiverse before battling the Serpent-corrupted Mordenkainen to save what remains of the Doomed Multiverse!

Wow. I was anticipating the follow-up to Wrath of Zuggtmoy, but this will do just fine. :D

Lol! The follow-up to Zuggtmoy will come next :) The release of Eve of Ruin encouraged me to pivot to this first.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
