Beware the Bunny - An Eggselent Easter Adventure

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This sinister Easter themed adventure should take 4-6 Hours to play and is made with APL3 in mind though it has advice for scaling. It can take place anywhere the players have a long rest (so literally any setting)

It invloves an unhinged Harengon dread lord tricking the players into playing his games. Though it has other pillars of play it is combat heavy, with a sense of humour throughout.

Summary:

As you stretch and awake from your slumber you gaze around to see everyone in your party doing the same even those who were supposed to be on watch! You notice that more than one of your comrades is looking around confused. You join them in looking around and you notice the same as them, you have not woken up where you fell asleep.

The landscape around you is that of an idyllic spring day in a beautiful forest, a warm breeze caresses your skin and ruffles the picture perfect pillow grass around you. Picturesque trees sway in the wind letting the warm sunlight dapple across your camp and sending a perfectly crisp leaf spiralling down from the forest canopy.

Birds chirp, squirrels scamper and a deer skips into your camp before prancing away. Somewhere nearby you can hear a stream trickling over river rocks. You are surrounded by calm and peace, wrapped in a warm blanket of serenity. Something must be wrong…

This adventure includes:

  • 5 new creatures with stat blocks, a dread lord Harengon: Caerbannog, easter egg mimics, Manical Gigglers, adorable Bunnlings and a Bunny Ogre.
  • 4 Magic Items, Mimic Easter Egg Grenades and Caerbannog's Suit, Pocket Watch and Ears!?
  • Three and  a half 'Trials' to inflict on your players.
  • Lyrics for a Creepy Catchy Easter Egg Song (That I would Love if someone could make into a real song!)

Pairs Perfectly with our Blood Bunny Bestiary if you want to add some extra minions for Caerbannog:
Blood Bunnies

Needed a one-shot and was able to adapt since it was a one-player night. Had the player at level 8 but was able to adjust the NPC. Very engaging and loved that there was space for clever non combat in spots. Since it was only one PC, [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
