The Zodiac Class

As the moon shines overhead, a halfling on vigil hears a gutteral cry beyond the forest's vomit darkness. She raises her bow toward the zenith above the forest canopy and the stars bask the weapon in light. A tree snaps as she aims toward the unseen horror, now stampeding toward her resting companions. She looses the arrow, which streaks with a trail of light and strikes true on a boar demon, basking it in radiance.

Zodiacs have an inherent awareness of the cosmic energies in motion around us all. The awakening of this awareness may be caused at birth, by exposure to a tremendous celestial power, or through years of study to decipher the star patterns and understand the cosmic will.

Guided by the Stars

Zodiacs are a conduit for the cosmic forces that be, becoming an avatar of its principles. To the uninitiated, the workings of the universe flow in ways far too complex for the mortal mind to comprehend. To a zodiac, whose spirit is attuned to the forces of the cosmos, the motion of the stars is a language, in which the attentive diviner may find guidance.

If a few achieved this awareness after an intense meditative breakthrough or through dedicated study of astronomy, for most, it was simply destiny. Born under a lucky star or a convergence of the planets, zodiacs are a rare occurence, and an extension of the universe’s will, able to interpret its patterns to receive omens and wield its power.

Cosmic Embodiment

While the energy of the universe is present in each creature, a zodiac can tap into this powerful source and embody the stars. Acting as a conduit for the forces of the cosmos, their bodies channel the radiance of their rising sign. A zodiac’s transformation into their divine form is a marvellous display of magic, beauty and astral lights.

Though spectacular to behold, to a zodiac, this transformation into an astral avatar is also a valued moment of balance and communion with the cosmos. In this exalted form, they feel most in harmony with the will of the universe, heralding their greatest potential.
