A wickedly whimsical adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game.

Once every eight years, the fantastic Witchlight Carnival touches down on your world, bringing joy to one settlement after the next. Its owners, Mister Witch and Mister Light, know how to put on a good show. But there’s more to this magical extravaganza than meets the eye!

The carnival is a gateway to a fantastic Feywild domain unlike anything found on the Material Plane. Time has not been kind to this realm, however, and dark days lie ahead unless someone can thwart the dastardly schemes of the Hourglass Coven.

The Wild Beyond the Witchlight has arrived on Roll20!

Build characters in minutes with new options in the Roll20 Character Builder:

  • Flit across the Feywild as one of 2 enchanting new races (spring into battle as the rabbit-like harengon or whimsical fairy)
  • Wander into the Witchlight Carnival with 2 unique backgrounds to immerse you (play a feylost or a Witchlight hand, who’s traveled with the mysterious carnival all these years)
  • Drag & Drop 25 magic items onto a character sheet to instantly arm your character (the sentient greatsword Snicker-Snack seeks a worthy wielder)

Play with Less Prep on Roll20:

  • Protect the people of Prismeer with 11 adventuring maps ready for exploration, including pre-placed tokens and full Dynamic Lighting support for walls, doors, and windows (Subscribe to access Dynamic Lighting!)
  • Drag & Drop over 200 creatures and NPCs onto a battlemap to antagonize adventurers and roll to hit in one click as a mischievous faerie dragon
  • Drag & Drop 150 gorgeous handouts in one click, depicting whimsical locations, magic items, and monsters to transport characters into any scene
  • Generate Lost Things, carnival prizes, and random encounters in one click with over 40 rollable tables and macros
  • Search and read the player options and lore of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, in or out of the Roll20 Virtual Tabletop
  • Delight in this fantasy adventure designed for characters levels 1-8

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
