Sorry, you're getting so much flack in the comments section. I personally have found this product to be really useful, and am going to be using a bunch of the races in my own campaign setting.

why did you copy the idea and literal title from Acheron?

Have scanned this book after buying it. Not worth the buy. Balance is bad unless you want to play a Chaos Reaver that does extra 10d4 chaos damage per attack (What is chaos damage?) The Cantrips and spells are terribad with just infernal or Hellish in front of the name and allow you to hurl fire and do less damage than firebolt or just repeat of firebolt

Example from the book
"Infernal Bolt
Cantrip evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
You conjure a bolt of infernal energy and hurl it at a
creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack
against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 fire
damage.
At Higher Levels: The damage increases by 1d10 at
5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level
(4d10)."

How the heck is this value for my money? A reskin of Firebolt with half the range? And it just gets worse.

Chaos damage is the class' specific damage die. (Check out the column at class table). You may deal 10d4 (average 25) extra damage at LEVEL 20 and ONCE PER TURN, not per attack, which is perfectly balanced for that level.

As for cantips, there are rules that prevent us from doing much different or stronger effects.

Aside all that, we are sad to hear that you didn't like our book. :(

Hey! Could we possibly use the soul system (introduced at your GM's guide) along with elixir crafting of Infernal Alchemist class in this book?

Absolutely! Elixirs count as spellcasting so you may spend Soul Points on them (as explained on GMs Guide).

Hey Yellowbyte, why did you delete your Dante's Guide to Hell title on 6/9/23 when I asked if your "company" was using AI to write your products? You wanted to avoid some bad press? Good thing I saved my comment:

Yet another product pumped out by Yellowbyte Studios and illustrated by AI. You guys put something out about every seven days and insist you don't use AI to write your products? What, are your writers chained to their desks? Do they not have families? You claim to have six writers; I've worked on projects with far more than that, and let me tell you, it takes weeks or even months to write, proof, edit, and produce a product. What kind of quality can a customer expect when you just blitz through production like this?

Customers considering this product have to decide whether they want to continue encouraging the DMs Guild being flooded with AI-illustrated and (within all likelihood) AI-written products by purchasing this.

Hey Wyatt T! We've got all the answers for you!
1) We didn't delete our title. There was a problem with its setting and it got disabled by DM's Guild staff. You can find it in DriveThruRPG though.
2) Before it got disabled we had already answered your comment. I'll post our answer here again then:

"As we have mentioned before, yes, we use AI generated art because our budget doesn't support something else yet. Additionally, we are 6 writers (and Michael Davis who is our proffesional proof reader and editor) that do this as our main occupation for at least 8 hours per day and not as side projects or hobby. So, yeah, you could say that we are kinda chained to our desks. As for the quality of our products, I'll let people that bought from us to judge that."

Thank you for your comment. :)

As an adamantine selling author that has been on the guild for quite some time, I have to agree with Wyatt that producing quality content takes months of work, not a week. This reply appears quite disingenuous, unfortunately.

If your writers are working 8 hours per day to produce such content as this as their full time job, I'd expect they're at least being paid a living wage - which would be a minimum of 10 cents per word in this industry.

However, you claim to not have the budget for artwork, (thus using ai generated content instead), so I assume you probably don't have the funds to pay 6 full time writers a fare wage either.
If this isn't the case, then I look forward to being corrected, but as it stands, right now it very much comes across that you're either severely underpaying your workers, or substituting their skills with ai generated text - both of which aren't really appropriate for a professional company you're aiming to be. :)

Also, this re-uploaded product...See more

Yeah, which is it, Yellowbyte? Are you underpaying your writers or relying on AI to write the bulk of your products? You've got six writers, working 8 hours a day apiece? Let's do some math. You're selling $15 products; half that goes to DMs Guild, leaving your team $7.50 per sale. That's about $1 per writer per sale (maybe even less because you have an editor too, so that's at least [profit] divided by 7). And they're working fulltime jobs for Yellowbyte Studios? Fulltime? No benefits? This is their sole source of income? Just royalties from DMs Guild? Yeah, right.

Something doesn't add up.

Seconding Vall and Wyatt on this one. With six writers and an editor, your staff would earn less than $1 per sale while churning out 100+ pages a week. You'd need to sell hundreds of titles every day to even approach a profit.

Either this studio is being wildly exploitative to its staff or these products are tidied-up ChatGPT soup.

Vall you can't imagine how much we appreciate your comment! (Being honest on this).

We are real life friends that we had many stuff kinda ready before we decided to begin refining them and publishing them at DMs Guild. We decided that for a time we'll be underpaid in order to get some audience. Of course we all (except Michael) have published other books (not DnD related) that we receive loyalties as well.
When we finish this collection, as scheduled next Friday, we'll follow your advice and slow down to give Michael more time to proof read and edit.

Thank you for your comments! You only make us better :)

What you are missing, my friend (no offense, we really try to explain), is that most of those titles (except for the sci-fi monster manual and superhuman classes) were already 80% written or noted and used by us in our homebrew campaigns all these years. We simply re-write, edit and polish them before publishing. We have two more titles like these scheduled for release (more information can be found on our social media channels). That was the initial plan to engage our audience. After those releases, we will likely be able to recruit one more artist and we'll probably require more time between releases. We'll see though. Thank you! :)

Just because the Player’s Handbook is released one week after the DM’s Guide doesn’t mean it took only 7 days to write. I don’t understand all this hostility.

Exactly, that's the point! And that's why we have scheduled the releases of this collection. We are confident that we can deliver them on the promised dates because they are already completed. Our titles (thus far) represent 4 years of work and testing, culminating in the decision to establish this studio and commence weekly publication. We have nearly completed our next three titles, and we have begun work on our upcoming project, which is something we are writing from scratch. The timeframe required for its completion is yet to be determined. We will keep you updated through our social media.

I've bought 4 titles from Yellowbyte Studios so far and I got to say I'm excited. I've found my new favorite author in DMs Guild and I'll proceed buying the rest of their titles soon. I really don't get all this negativity towards AI art in D&D books. The AI art is even better than the hand-drawn ones (sorry to your artist for saying that). The books are beautiful and what actually matters is the content. Art is just there to make it look better. I have absolutely no problem with AI art and the content in their books is really great and clever. Especially the systems in this collection's GMs guide are just fantastic. Don't listen to anyone Yellowbyte and keep up the good work. I'm waiting every Friday for your new release!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
