NEW ROLL20 COMPENDIUM PRODUCT RELEASE! DRAGONIX'S DEADLY DENIZENS!

DDD

This is the Roll20 VTT Compendium Package (fully integrated into Roll20 and accessible from any browser) of the second book of the Adamantine Best-Selling Monster Manual Expanded series!

If you're looking for the PDF/Book version, please click here instead.

Monster Manual Expanded II is the sequel to the ADAMANTINE-best-selling Monster Manual Expanded.  Just like the first book, this aims to provide Dungeon Masters more options and flexibility in designing adventures and dressing up their dungeons with a wider variety of creatures and characters that are based on the Monster Manual, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, and many others.  Finally, it also adds variants that provide a nostalgic and classic feel that DMs experienced with the older editions are probably familiar with.

Lolth. Asmodeus. Mephistopheles.  Just a few of the many iconic characters and creatures you can find here.  In total, there are over 390 creature stat blocks in this book at the Dungeon Master's disposal!

.

When you purchase this, you will acquire access to the full Roll20 compendium which you can search and read from the Roll20 website as well as access within the Roll20 VTT! This means you can:

  • Easily access the creatures when creating your games on Roll20! Whenever you search your 5e compendium resources on Roll20, over 470 creatures can show in your search results for easy drag & drop onto your encounter maps.
  • Browse the compendium for the creature you want and drag it into your encounter.
  • Gain access to up to 300+ unique, beautiful token art pieces and 350+ fully-statted character sheets with click-to-roll attacks, special powers, saving throws, and more!

Check out what critics say about Monster Manual Expanded II:

“Remember how great Monster Manual Expanded 1 was? Well you can take that and double it with Monster Manual Expanded 2. Long story short, buy it - you won’t regret it.”

- Nerdimmersion

“Better than the first! Wowee this book has every monster I have ever wanted that wasn’t covered in the official Monster Manual plus heaps more. Up to par with the official 5e books, if not better in some places. Full art, and over 300 pages. An absolute tome! Personal favorite: The Grim.”
- P.B. Publishing

“For content here… the amount you’re getting... I have to give this 5 out of 5.”
- Allthingslich

“As with the first volume, this is very well conceived and equally well executed. It is well written and concise… and features plenty of well chosen, quality examples of artwork throughout, including a lot of new and original pieces”
- D&D Misfits & Monsters

“The Monster Manual Expanded II does exactly as promised: this tome delivers dozens more variants based on the Monster Manual, Volo’s Guide to Monsters, and the creatures of Mordenkainen’s Tome Of Foes.”

- Bob World Builder

I purchased the PDF for Expanded 2 and 3 prier to them being available on Roll20 as I loved the first one. The issue I now have is that I want the Roll20 version, but that means I have to purchase the Full price Roll20 version... that seams a little excessive. Is there anyway to get the bundle price for the Roll20 Version?

There's an MME2 PDF + Roll20 bundle available. Check the links at the bottom of the product description where it says "Bundles containing this product." There's also a Roll20 Bundle that includes all MME Roll20 products. You won't be charged for products you already own as long as you order the bundle.

I am really glad that a Roll20 conversion is available for this book, but before I decide to purchase this I have two questions:

1. What is the resolution of the tokens in this bundle? Standard D&D 5E tokens on Roll20 have a resolution of 280 x 280 for medium sized tokens and a resolution of 560 x 560 for large sized tokens. Is this also the case here?

2. Does the artwork of the various monsters have the same resolution as the PDF version?

The token sizes are all standard for medium tokens (280x280). Because the tokens can be used for any creature, not just the ones in this book, they are all 1x1 sized and easily resized to your desires.

The tokens were made with the original artwork in the PDF, however, some small creatures in large artworks may have needed substantial zooming to get into the token, reducing their resolution.

Thank you for the answer.
If you also intent to use the same resolution for all tokens in future books then I would recommend switching to a resolution of 560x560 wherever possible. Resizing a 280x280 token from medium size (one square) to gargantuan size (16 squares) for example, can noticeably decrease the image quality of the token.
Tokens with a 560x560 resolution work well for even the biggest token sizes that are commonly used on Roll20 for D&D 5E.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
