Dragonlance Monster and NPC Mini-Reference Sheets (Shadow of the Dragon Queen)

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This pack contains handy mini-reference sheets for monsters and NPCs from Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. For some DM's having a printed reference is much more useful than having the information on a computer or in the adventure book.  These sheets can be inserted into standard card-sized plastic sleeves, clipped to your DM screen, inserted in your book, or kept in a binder page. 33 mini-references total (less than 10¢ each!)

The mini-sheets are  2 1/2" by 3 1/2" (the standard size for many collectible game cards), so they will fit into ready-made plastic sleeves. Twelve of the stat block mini-sheets are double-sized (3 1/2" x 5"), which will fit into "oversized" sleeves.  Finally, the stat block mini-sheet for Lord Soth is a full 5" x 7", which will fit into a photo protector.

In this pack you will find two types of mini-references:

  • stat block mini-sheets with stats and action for use in combat (20 mini-sheets, including all the unique monsters in Shadow of the Dragon Queen);
  • roleplaying mini-sheets with descriptions, bonds, ideals, and flaws (13 mini-sheets, for all the named characters with bonds, ideals and flaws);
  • we are not allowed to reproduce the SoDQ art in these packs! However, a blank template in Microsoft Word with correctly sized table cells is included. Paste in your own art to the table should you wish to create double-sided references.

Printing instructions:

• Print single-sided on A4 or 8 1/2” x 11” paper. Ensure that printing is set to 100% for optimal results. You may print on ordinary paper or heavy paper.

Using your mini-reference sheets:

You have two choices, you can use these with plain backs or cards with art backs. For art backs, you will need to copy the desired art into the Word template provided.

• Option 1: glued reference sheets. Print fronts and backs on heavy paper, ensuring art matches the order of the monsters/NPCs on the fronts. Trim margins from fronts and backs and match carefully. Use spray glue to stick the two sides together. Cut apart.

• Option 2: using ready-made plastic sleeves in card size. Print fronts and optionally backs on any type of paper and cut apart. Insert into clear sleeves, or sleeves with opaque backs if only printing the fronts.

Below is a picture of the mini-sheets printed onto ordinary paper and inserted into standard-sized sleeves with an opaque back. Very quick and perfectly usable.

Love these! Between the official monster cards and these I have quick reference for almost every monster and npc they will encounter :) Is there any reason you didn't include the Istarian Drone? I think its the only one missing now :)

THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! THIS CARD PACK IS EXACTLY AND PRECISELY WHAT I NEEDED!!! I had started to hand-write these cards (I've completed three of them) to run the new Dragonlance Campaign, because NOBODY bothered to publish these cards and put them in the bookstores! Again, Elizabeth--THANK YOU!!! You've made a DM's job a hell of a lot easier!

Hi Aaron, I’ve added them for all the characters that include the goals, ideals, bonds and flaws that are included in the supplement. This set was intended to be primarily for easy reference for included material, so I didn’t create new backgrounds etc. I tried to be specific about that in the description, I’m sorry this was not what you were looking for.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
