[SPOILERS AHEAD] What your players will experience in You Are My Sunshine

Unfolding a Sinister Plot

The adventure begins on the Rock of Bral as the characters learn about Sector Eta, how the body of a dead god has mysteriously appeared in it, and the possible danger that contact could unleash. Astronomers have been dying, or so the rumors say. Is this just a coincidence? Let your players follow the threads and unravel this simple “fetch quest.”

High-level Spelljamming Ship Combat

On the way to Sector Eta, the characters’ commissioned Spelljammer Vessel named “The Snatcher” suddenly slows down. An ambush on the Astral Sea! The terrified crew cries out a name of a ghost ship that few have lived to tell the tale of. Let your players experience combat with an invisible pirate ship: “The Dutchman.”

An Ancient Evil

When the characters arrive at Sector Eta, they hear and feel a rhythmic foghorn-like blaring that pulses to the tune of a slowly beating heart. It's coming from the drifting body of a dead god. Who is behind the drifting of the dead god, Ligyron? What grand design is this for? Have your players’ characters encounter Vecna’s greatest follower, Lady Osterneth, known as "The Bronze Lich.”

Battle the Undead!

Your players will fight against the undead in two encounters: on the ghost ship with undead pirates on "The Dutchman," and against Osterneth and her undead crew. Perfect for Liar's Night and other events with a spooky atmosphere.

About the author: Brian’s love for the world of D&D started in 2000 with the PC game Baldur’s Gate, countless RA Salvatore novels about Drizzt and the companions, and naturally Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn. He started playing and running games for 5e in 2020. He enjoys running adventures with consequential player choices, a tight connected story, and a chance to learn more about the lore in D&D.

His first set of adventures, The Thin Veil Trilogy, involved reading more than 500 pages of materials from older editions to make sure that the way Planar Bleed and Planar Metaphysics, the Shadowfell, and Vecna were described were true to lore. Researching and finding ways to inject life into older stories is something he very much enjoys

Hi! A bug has affected the files in DMs Guild where files and maps from one adventure of an author are present and available in another. It can happen when files across titles have the same filename (e.g. in Squidaddle and in Mighty Wings).

I have addressed this by prefixing the file.zips in this adventure with the adventure code (e.g. Hope your adventure preps go smoothly!

Hi! I have clarified a detail of the treasure in part 2 to avoid misleading the DM on what color it is, as current Adventurers League rules allow the DM to select or roll for it.

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
