A Ravenloft adventure module for four to six adventurers of levels 1-7

Based on the Lamordia lore presented in Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, pgs. 138-143

Hey you! You liked Curse of Strahd right? Of course you did, most folks did. You probably went and bought Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft when that came out to learn about the other domains right? So did I. I loved the material presented in it, but felt myself wanting more from my favorite domains - enough material to fully run an adventure, not just a few pages of description.

So I decided to make one myself! In this book you’ll find full instructions to run a 1st-7th level campaign set in Lamordia, one of the domains of Ravenloft. It sticks out from most of the other domains by being more focused on science than magic, and creates a sort of “fish-out-of-water” effect for visitors from traditional D&D settings. It has a full story arc with a fun twist in the middle (that works much better if your players don’t know anything about Lamordia going into it).

Here’s an excerpt from the book to let you know what you’re in for:

“Adventurers from another world stumble into Lamordia, an industrious land surrounded by mysterious fog, plagued by winter weather, and ruled by a selfish and reclusive baron. These strangers find themselves in the care of a seemingly kind doctor, only to eventually discover that in Lamordia flesh is worth more than life. With blood on their hands, they must flee to the nation’s largest city across a marshland full of feral animals and a sea rife with mutated monsters. Once in the city they can sustain themselves by taking on mercenary work from the students of a university that idolizes a woman named Doctor Viktra Mordenheim. Events take an even deadlier turn when a friendly retired professor asks them to do her a favor: save her dear wife from the dungeons of the wicked baron. A betrayal and another brush with death sets the party on a quest to seek revenge upon the realm’s true dark lord…”

Content Warning:

Like all Ravenloft stories, this is a horror story. It does contain mild images and descriptions of (primarily) body horror. Those with phobias of things like doctors, needles, dismemberment, and surgery may wish to steer clear of this adventure.

This is my first release and I hope you all enjoy it very much!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
