Ran this a second time, and I made 2 changes to the final encounter that made it vastly more engaging.

1) When ST uses Psychic Scream, I use the "far realm impact" to change it from a 1 minute stun with a stupid high DC to a 1 minute slow with a stupid high DC. This at least allowed the players some agency in the final fight rather than just standing there waiting to die.

2) I ran the fight for 3 full rounds, ending it on the 4th. The first two rounds just feel painfully unrewarding as the players are just trying to get into it (assuming you've made change #1 and they are just sitting there doing nothing). By round 3, you may have a PC or 2 out of the slow (stun) effect, PCs are aware of the necro healing and will change their tactics to limit how much ST can heal. It's when the fight starts to have a glimmer of hope. Letting it roll for another round gives the PCs a chance to use their ability, get into the swing of things, and feel like they are accomplishing something....See more

This module makes a strong case for strictly forbidding authors from making changes to monster stat blocks.

The niceties of exploration are absolutely destroyed by the sheer idiocy of the boss fight. It's a sh*tshow of extremely poor game design in a single fight. It's not challenging, it is simply NOT a D&D stat block. That's the challenge.

The whole DRW series looks awesome but can someone please explain to me which of these arcs go together and which are completely separate? I want to take a party through as much as possible without the story being disjointed or the leveling being wack.

You should really start at least mentioning where the maps are coming from. If you always say they are references but then use the maps details in the adventure just stated where we can get a copy of these maps or add better quality photos of them with the adventure.

I experienced this as a player. I struggle to accurately describe the intensity of my displeasure without sounding abusive. This was an extremely bad experience; it occupies an outlying position, far beyond other AL adventures that I have disliked.
I almost want to purchase this just in curiosity about the adventure design, which is something I often do; but I cannot tolerate the idea of rewarding this.

I can't see part 3 effects scene D. Is this an error?

Did the Named Liches in this adventure looses their Proficiency bonuses for skills? or could it be a mistake in the statblock?

And another Question about the named Lich statblock.
For their Spells, can i use all AL legal Resources, or are their some restrictions of using Rulebooks for Spells (Fizban for Example)

So excited for this. Looks fun, I love how so many SA tie in to it.

I may just be stupid, but what does SA mean? I'm really interested in running the whole DRW series and need all the information I can get before I start dropping money on each one.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
