Heavy spring rains have collapsed a section of the crypts beneath Saint Thessalon's monastery. During repairs, the monks broke through into a buried ruin. A monster attacked from the darkness, killing a young cleric and dragging off the body. The task was straightforward: kill the beast and claim the reward. Except the past has a way of intruding into the present and things are not always what they seem.

 The mysterious ruins are the remains of the once beautiful summer palace, East Bright, belonging to Queen Cara. 400 years ago, a cleric named Thessalon and his violent followers overthrew the queen. He cursed the young queen for her defiance and walled Cara up inside the remains of the palace.

Now, there is a chance to end the curse and free Cara from the darkness. Yet more than one force from the past is waiting for release. Ending the Curse will bring the adventurers face to face with the corrupted remains of Thessalon himself.

The Buried Palace is designed for a group of player-characters averaging at 3rd or 4th-level of ability, though the challenge rating can be scaled up or down.
