Scaling Stat Blocks For Friends or Foes

The strength of these fey creatures is variable, represented by 20 different levels. Each creature is presented with a familiar stat block, and various modifications to the creature’s statistics are presented as the creature increases in levels. 

An ideal role for these Fey are as sidekicks to the adventuring party, as they are designed to add interesting abilities and aid the action economy rather than be overly powerful on their own.

When using the creature as an NPC or monster, choose the level that seems appropriate to the party’s level, and feel free to pick and choose from the abilities listed (or insert your own).

Flights of Fancy over Fighting

Levels are used rather than Challenge Rating due to these creatures’ focus on manipulation of the world and its inhabitants rather than output of combat damage. In Prismeer, the game is more often clever thinking and roleplay rather than sword and board. 

Perfectly Cromulent for Player Characters Passing on Combat

If you are playing the hardcover The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, a campaign set in the Feywild, or any game focused on non-combat solutions, consider replacing the traditional combat focused PC classes with these Fey for your players. If  these Fey creatures become adventurers, advance them in level at about three times the rate of regular PC classes, planning for characters to reach their ultimate level at the conclusion of the campaign.
