"Fighters who designate themselves as Wardens are their party’s keeper.  Stalwart and unflinching, they are willing to put their own lives on the line to better guard those that they are charged with protecting. These fighters can often be found hired as bodyguards or escorting an important item along a journey. Whether they are bound by duty or by love, Wardens often attempt to shield their charge at any cost. Wardens can further take advantage of both the offensive and defensive capabilities of a shield through their incredible skill and athletic prowess."

Welcome back everybody! This is my 16th subclass, and my second Martial Archetype for the Fighter. As you can probably tell, it was very much inspired by Captain America both in terms of using a shield as one's primary weapon and the idea of truly dedicating oneself to the protection of those they care about. Furthermore, I've always loved playing the tank in TTRPGs, and figured that it would be nice to have a fighter subclass centered around that very idea.

If you're interested in my other work, all of my products are linked below! They are all free to download, so be sure to check them out. I also recently started a Youtube channel, and one of the videos is linked below! I hope you enjoy all of it, to keep up to date with what I'm up to be sure to follow my Twitter, @QuinntheGM. Cheers!

[Just a quick 5th Edition rules clarification that I figured I should include here: a character can only gain the AC benefit of shields once, even if they are holding two. That means while yes, a Warden could use two shields, they would only gain the +2 bonus to their AC one time.]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
