“A junker is not what I preferred to become in life, but I’ve met none who became what they preferred before so I suppose that’s normal. I’ve gotten famous for my band of bold scavengers but, truly, we take what we need and no more. This is not to say that your definition of ‘need’ and ours will be the same, though I assume their will be some overlap, it is all relative. Perspective is key, as another’s trash is our treasure, and life is just too damn short to waste what could otherwise be used.

Our methods of repurpose may differ from yours, and that’s just fine. One version of anything leads to boredom, whereas variety leads to inspired variables.

We respect both the living and the inanimate about us, and humbly (or not so) suggest that you do the same.”

--Copernicus, Acquirer of the Lost & Found

Origins

This subclass was made initially as a basis off of my homebrew crafting mechanics (which are included in this booklet). The idea of an artificer based around scavenging just sounded fun, and seemed to make sense.

This Booklet Includes:

  • The Scavenger Subclass
  • Basic rules for Crafting
  • Basic rules for Enchanting
  • Tables detailing how to craft Adventuring Gear, Weapons, and Armor
  • Details on how to craft a portable forge
Disclaimer
All contents in this booklet are considered playtest, and may be changed and updated as they continue to be tested.

Thank You, Seriously

I put a lot of time into this stuff, mostly for my own players. That said, engaging with the incredible community on DMs Guild and the D&D community as a whole has been unlike any other experience. As always, any feedback on my work is much appreciated. It helps me, my players, and anyone else crazy enough to use the ridiculous things I have the privilege to make. Thank you for your support!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
