Time and Again - 15 Time-Themed Subclasses

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Welcome to Time and Again! This is a book of 14 subclasses all based around the concept of time. It started as a discussion about an interesting design idea and grew into what you see here. We hope there’s something for everyone here—we have subclasses about the past, the present, and the future; about preserving time and destroying it; about splitting seconds and splitting timelines. Enjoy!

Includes the following subclasses:

  • Timekeeper: an artificer specialist that stores ticks in a timepiece that they can spend on complications - small manipulations of the timestream.
  • Path of the Anamoly: a barbarian path that shreds the timestream with rage, fraying the flow of time around them.
  • Path of the Temporal Tempest: a barbarian path that has survived a temporal storm and emerged resiliant and brutal.
  • College of Anachronism: a bard college that focuses on saving interesting moments, taking snapshots of time for later use.
  • History Domain: a cleric divine domain focused on learning the knowledge of the past and using it to predict the future.
  • Divergence: a fighter archetype that is a oddity in time, a parallel version of themselves, or a warrior from another timeline.
  • Way of Deja Fu: a monastic tradition that incorporates splitting time, moving between moments to deliver the perfect strike.
  • Oath of Genesis: a paladin oath dedicated to the renewal of time and the possibility of changing the world.
  • The Inexorable: a ranger conclave dedicated to the tending of the timeline, either protecting the integrity of time or bending it to suit their interests.
  • Thief of Hours: a rogue archetype that steals time from others in combat, manipulating their initiative to their advantage.
  • Fluxtouched: a sorcerous origin unmoored from time, able to push themselves faster or slower through the timestream.
  • Future Self: a warlock pact made with oneself from the future, a generous patron who grants their past self powers to ensure their own existence.
  • Chronomancy: a warlock/sorcerer/wizard multiclass archetype that uses magic to exert control over the flow of time.
  • Returned Warrior: a fighter/paladin multiclass archetype that has a bond with a warrior from the ancient past that lends the knowledge of the ages.
  • Bonus subclass - Order of the Cyclic: a blood hunter that attunes to the cycles of nature: time, seasons, and phases of the moon.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
