5E Expert Classes

ADD TO WISHLIST >

More then 1 year later, 5E Expert Classes has added the 19th class, the Vicar - the ultimate defender of the Faith!  Now included for new and existing purchases!  Note that the Vicar is a separate PDF & FG module to the main book.

3-10-2023 Update:  A reworked version of the fearsome Harbinger class.  This rework is provided as a separate PDF and Fantasy Grounds Module.  The old version is still included in the existing full PDF/MOD.

Class Summary List

This contains both the PDF and Fantasy Grounds module.

Ever get tired of the same old 12 basic classes available in the base game?  If you've been playing a long time you might be looking for something challenging and new to liven up the game.  How about 18 new classes?  All in one super package, intended for players that have long mastered the old classes.

These are challenging classes, meant to reward parties that synergize as a team well.  Most classes have many subclasses, character builds are more important than ever.  A few of these classes have so many features for each subclass that playing one variant or another will feel entirely like a new class.  With so many class options you could play many new campaigns and never try out everything you want to try.

Level up your game with:

  • 18 completely new expert player classes
    • 54 total subclasses
    • With some classes having lists of options that can be selected from as you level
  • 4 new items
  • 2 new NPCs
  • 14 new spell-like items
  • Short class primers to help you understand what each class does and how to effectively use them.
  • Full PDF for convenient reference along with a complete Fantasy Grounds module to get started playing online immediately.

Hello,
my DM and I have a quick Question about the Spectral Slayer Subclass of the Reaper Class.
In the Spectral Duel Wielder feature, we had a problem understanding it.
I understood, that when you take the Attack action you do an attack with both Weapons and if one of them hits, you do damage for both. After that, you can attack again with both as a bonus action like dual wielding. With Extra Attack, you can attack with both 3 times.
He understood, that I have to take both the Action and Bonus Action for the attack. And with Extra Attack you attack three times and if one of them hits, all hit.
Is one of us right, or was it meant differently?

Hi Nils:

My expertise begins and ends with the Fantasy Grounds conversion. I am not the author of the material.

The author of the PDF would better address this question.

Just a suggestion - the full preview should have more than the intro and the table of contents (which you already put in the description) - especially when there is only one screenshot and a price tag of $25...and with no previous items listed on DMs Guild, it's hard to judge the quality. Maybe some screens of the FG module would even be helpful.

Interesting though, definitely going to keep an eye on this to see if anything changes w/regard to description and preview or to see if anyone does a review of it! Will add to my Wishlist in the meantime!

Thanks for the suggestion! I also expanded the PDF preview by a few pages (though I think this takes a day to update).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
