Feywild Companion contains 13 fey-inspired subclasses, one for each class including the artificer. se the power of magic symbols with the Calligrapher or wield a mystical mirror as a cleric of the Mirror Domain. Access your third eye as a druid of the Circle of Visions or tame one of 3 types of planar beasts as a Cosmic Caller ranger. Curse others as an Evil Eye sorcerer or move quickly as a Path of the Blinking Pack barbarian. And that's just a few of the subclasses that await you inside!

Preview - Items

With the Feywild Companion's backgrounds you can play as a skilled clown from a carnival or a dreamer who has prophetic dreams. The clown gives players a rich history and back story as well as the tools to perform. The dreamer offers the possibility of predictive dreams and the DM the opportunity to foreshadow.

There are 16 new magic items from common to legendary, including art for each one. In addition, there is a new type of consumable with our flowers of the Feywild. These 16 flowers can be encountered or used as items offer twice the value to DMs. There's also 50 fey trinkets!

Feywild Companion contains 13 new spells, including Faerie Frollick, Glamour of Vanity, and Tasha's Otherworldly Grove. Plus, we offer 4 new feats such as arcane savant and fey luck.

Preview - Monsters

Feywild Companion includes four species of Feywild butterflies and the mysterious butterfly queen, a powerful creature that characters can face in battle or take her place as her mantle is passed on after death.

The Faenorn is a powerful spirit bound to the Feywild. At CR 21, this creature has lair and regional effects to enhance its terror.

The Glasswail is a tortured monster that hides within stained glass windows and comes to life to show you the horrors of a trip to the Feywild gone wrong.

The Candleling is a floating, living candle that communicates using light. These mysterious creatures make great familiars and are archenmies of will-o'-wisps.

The book also contains a CR 16 archfey, 3 Redcap variants, and conversion of past edition creatures such as the Brownie and Wendigo. Creatures in the bestiary include adventure hooks to help you easily introduce them to your campaign.

Many Feywild creatures await you inside Feywild Companion including the Centaurus, Dark Unicorn, Dreamfish, Genius Loci, Shimmer Cat, Wild Reveler, Winter Witch, and more!

Preview - Optional Rules

Feywild Companion contains optional rules to help bring the Feywild to life.
Our fey portal rules help you define a unique one-of-a-kind location for a fey crossing. With our requirements and circumstances options, you can turn accessing the crossing into a puzzle for players to solve.

Our fey glamours optional rule offers a way for you to change existing monsters to give them an enchanting fey feel.

Feywild Companion also includes rules for altering monster sizes to make creatures larger or smaller than they would normally be. With these easy-to-follow rules, you can make changes in a balanced way, offering surprising variants for monsters you know and love.

In addition to the optional rules above, Feywild Companion re-introduces the concept of cold iron to fifth edition and offers 50 fey-themed wild effects.

Preview - Adventures

Feywild Companion contains adventures and encounters set in the Feywild.

In "The Five Lords of Shadewillow Pond", a complete adventure for levels 1-4, players stumble upon an eladrin celebration in the Feywild where they must entertain or else!

In "The Feywild Hunt", a complete adventure for levels 5-8, players investigate a mystery that takes them to the Feywild where they become prey in a hunt held by fey nobles.

Feywild Companion also includes 6 fully-detailed encounters. All encounters and adventures in the book can be resolved with or without combat. The encounters range in levels from 1 to 11 and include one for use when a player is absent from the table.

Accompanying Feywild Companion, there are 3 VTT battlemaps with 24 variations, a town map, and 79 VTT tokens.

Preview - Domain

Feywild Companion contains a brand new, fully detailed domain of delight for the Feywild called Dualis.

Dualis truly represents the reflective nature of the Feywild. Those who cross its borders are secretly duplicated into what are known as "echoes." These echoes open up a world of story possibilities, and Feywild Companion includes an entire section to help you integrate echoes into your game.

Dualis contains both light and dark points of interest including the giant Forest of Flowers, the mesmerizing Lake of Dreams, the miniature city of Minot, the mysterious Graveyard of Glass, and the powerful Butterfly Enclave. All of these are depicted on a full color map, which appears in the book and as a separate map file.

Dualis is ruled by an omnipresent CR 16 archfey, known as the Lord of Reflections. He uses mirrors to travel throughout the domain and magical paintings to spy on players. The book includes details for a complete campaign to reunite the remnants of his echo and take him down.

Plus, we've got adventure hooks, a new hazard, and a section on creating characters from Dualis.

This seems very crunch heavy (not a bad thing). How much fluff is there about the Feywild besides the new domain of delight and the fey crossings?

In this instance, I think you are using "fluff" to mean flavor text or descriptive paragraphs about the setting. The setting material in this book is the new domain of delight (10 pages) and the fey crossings (2 pages). The remainder of the book is player options (subclasses, spells, magic items, feats, lineages, etc.) and other DM material (monsters, adventures, encounters, and optional rules). Those sections do have tidbits about the Feywild sprinkled in and certainly all pieces are connected to it in some way.

I think of crunch as lots of math and dice rolling to determine things. We don't often include crunch in our books. The only real "crunch" are of this book is a few pages on converting monster sizes. But, since readers will be trying to make size-changed monsters that are balanced, the crunch is important to get it right. These pages are optional, but will work on monsters even outside of the Feywild so they can be very valuable tool in a DM's arsenal.

Thank you for the speedy reply. I did indeed mean flavor or setting information when I said fluff. Usually I have heard it being used derisively by people who wanted more crunch,(meant as DM/player facing material), but not as wasted space before. I appreciate that you took the time to explain, and I will try to remember that other people have different definitions of both words in the future. I did not mean to imply that there was wasted space or that I wouldn't get my money's worth.

Admittedly I was hoping for a bit more setting material from the book, but this looks too good to pass up.

Hi, Lewis. Thank you for supporting third party content creators like us. We started working on this book before Wild Beyond the Witchlight came out and so we didn't know how much setting material would be covered there. We also knew that setting material is pretty much edition agnostic and there had been some really great 4E books on the subject.

We also wanted to provide a fully-fleshed out second domain of delight to accompany Prismeer in Wild Beyond the Witchlight. We thought that would be a way to bring some setting material without contradicting WotC or any established lore.

Thanks for the kind words. At this time, we don't have any plans for a VTT version, including Roll20. If that changes, we'll reply to this comment to inform you. Thanks again!

Happy Thanksgiving...
Seriously considering this rather amazing looking resource... I TOO WOULD GOBBLE IT UP TWICE OVER IT IF WERE ON FANTASY GROUNDS UNITY... And I second the suggestion to use Grim Press. They do amazing conversions and great marketing, and have a loyal following (yep, I've drank the cool-aid and continue to come back!!)...
I may snatch it up during Black Friday nonetheless, but DEFINATELY WANT TO SEE THIS GREAT RESOURCE IN FANTAS GROUNDS PLEASE!

If you are interested in doing a FG conversion, I could suggest an awesome company to work with if all your authors would be in agreement. Give it a thought. I'd snatch this up in a heartbeat if I had it on FG. (With covid, *ALL* of my DM'ing is done via a virtual tabletop, and things I can't get on FG, I usually leave until I can). Thank you for your time, this does look pretty slick!

I second being able to have a printed version of this book. The artwork alone is beyond outstanding! A LOT of effort has been put into the contents of the Feywild Companion and it flows very much along side the Wild Beyond the Witchligh, bringing additional options, items, and more!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
