can this be up-scaled to level 5?
Customer avatar

It was designed as an introductory adventure so it cannot be scaled up to level 5 unless it is played homebrew. But Mist Hunter characters can level up and down to the level of the adventure they are going to play.

Is the page count really 28? Or is it an error?

Just a note for the content warnings, while they're good and all...

It's actually missing spiders as a content warning, especially for one scene.

Also is there any description of Radaga? My players were asking but the module unfortunately does not provide any.

Pg 5, NPC information: Radaga is a slender, olive-skinned human woman with black hair.

Thank you for letting me know about the content warning that I missed! It has been noted as an update that needs made.

I understand that this is an epic module to you have to be able to interact with multiple tables or can this be run with a single table?
Customer avatar
Amy D August 23, 2021 8:45 pm UTC
The adventure does include guidance for running as a single table!

Forgive me for asking a simple question:

Is this the 1st part of a multi-part adventure?

I ask because, from a quick read through, the Primary Conflict of the adventure doesn't seem to be solved (to not spoil anything, lets say The Mcguffin and the reason behind its disappearance ^_^)

I will admit that I don't play 5th Edition, but I am a Ravenloft fan, and was hoping to be able to convert the broad strokes to 3.5 (Pathfinder 1st Edition, to be specific).

I what I have suggested above is true, I can still make changes to make the adventure a '1 shot', more or less (come up with my own reasons).

Yes, it continues in RMH-01 The Final Curtain. You can find more information about the Mist Hunter's campaign on WOTC's yawning portal blog site.

Ah, I see.

Got to admit, I would have preferred if it were a true 'one shot' adventure.

As it stands, you have to get "The Final Curtain" to get a conclusion to the adventure (but again, something I can probably do myself with a word I despise lately......Work.......^_^)

"CONTENT WARNING: Possession, insomnia, oppressive aristocracy, gaslighting, forced impersonation, anxiety of living a lie, death, abduction"

So... it's a D&D adventure? :)

Next, they'll have to put spoiler tags on their content warnings...

Hello, I was wondering how many groups are run in this at once? Looking at the preview it comments on the level of play and that it can be run as a one-table experience, but I don't see how many table can run it at once. Thanks for any clarification. I have ran a few EPs locally, so this one would be great for our post-covid event this October!

There's no table min or max! :)

Cool adventure! Is there a printer friendly format planned? I would love that.

As excited as I am to check this out, that price tag is staggering for a four hour adventure. What is included to justify the extra cost? Might have to wait til this goes on sale.

Agreed. I know very hard work and a lot of time goes into making these, but I cannot currently justify paying 50 + cents a page.

Why did the prices on these adventures almost double from the other standard and even Eberron adventures? I was honestly more excited about this campaign than anything else AL has put out, but at that price point, I'll stick with unaffiliated modules.

No ratings? No reviews? Surely it can't be that bad! :-) Please give some feedback purchasers!

PS: The "Mist Hunters’ Safety Kit article" anchor link doesn't actual link to any article.

Thanks for the heads up! The link seems to work on our end now, so please let us know if you continue to run into issues.

On our side, looking at the HTML source it just shows up as:
<a>Mist Hunters’ Safety Kit article</a>

So, no href to lead it somewhere.

It's fixed for the other RMH mod now, but not this one

Actually it was fixed and worked, but now the link is gone again.

For anyone bothering to read comments it's:

I might be misinterpreting, but from experience it seems that the DMs Guild strips out link urls other than to other DMs Guild pages whenever product page is updated (even if it is updated in an unrelated section). So unless DMs Guild whitelists the, references to such links should probably be placed in the comments like above and/or in the product itself.

Is this like other epics where it requires the approval of Admins and must be run at a convention or organized event?
Customer avatar
Michael B August 12, 2021 8:08 am UTC
No. Any content - including D&D Epics™ - available to own on DMsGuild does NOT require admin approval to run as AL legal as part of the applicable AL campaign as part of any event you like.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
