Treykle: The Festival Fit for a King!

Treykle: The Festival Fit for a King!

This adventure is an extension of the singular encounter "All the King's Honey" I released in May. Taking this one concept from encounter to adventure! It is a laid back adventure with a small timer. It is intended to be placed between major plot points for the players to blow off some steam - DM too!

The castle is running about getting ready for the King’s birthday tomorrow. Several people could gain from the party’s help, but the party only has one day to help. This oneshot is intended for a party of four level 3 players and spans the length of 2 or 3 in-game days.

Player Hooks

  • This is a great opportunity for any Entertainer or Criminal to blend into the crowds to gain hidden details.
  • Bubbly, community focused members of the party will easily fall in love with the festival opportunities.
  • Those needing something to do will have plenty dropped at their feet if they stand still long enough.
  • Players interested in immersion won’t be able to resist all of the foodie touches waiting to be uncovered.

  • A 10 page mix-and-match adventure for repeatable play.
  • A drag-and-drop location that can easily fit into any setting.
  • Tons of art throughout the adventure to help inspire. All with Alt-Text.
  • Fully bookmarked to easy access.
  • 5 Festival game mechanics.
  • Unique tavern menu of food and drink totalling 14 items (7 foods, 7 drinks).

"The Festival Fit for a King!" is a great source to include in the Storm King's Thunder campaign I'm running right now. Chapter 3 is a complete open world, and I need to be prepared with 'one shot' adventures for any place [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
