This extension to the core rules of D&D 5e focuses on creating fast-paced, brutal combat at all tiers of game play.  Although the focus is on an arena combat setting, these variant rules and modifications to encounter design are invaluable in any campaign setting, especially at higher tiers of play where giving your heroes the challenge they need in combat can be hard to figure out.
