Sundabar Visitor's Guide

Suggested Price $1.00

"Behind the double walls of Sundabar is about the safest place to ever do business. The Ruling Master there gives out these guides for new travelers."

Once a purely dwarven citadel, the now cosmopolitan Sundabar is still sometimes known as the rampart of the north. It's high set of double walls keep the dangers of the region well at bay. This is a pre-filled version of my Complete City Sheet (already available on DMsguild) with a custom labeled map to help your party orient themselves within Sundabar. With this as a handout, your party can easily chart their own course through a shopping day, or scope out a guild or faction that may help them in their quest. Much of the information was taken from the supplement Volo's Guide to the North by Ed Greenwood. The map is made in the style of Elven Tower's maps.

  • Information on points of interest, travel options, and businesses for Sundabar!
  • Custom-labeled map so your players know where they are and where they're going!
  • Includes classic landmarks, such as The Master's Hall and Furjur's Flying Carpets!
  • Entirely customizable! Want to update the included descriptions for your campaign? Every form field is easily editable in any pdf reader or web browser!

A GOOD quick summary for if your players decide to head to Sundabar against all sense and advice.

Yes it can be googled, as Cristopher says, but for a quick "where's the inn" question it gives a DM something to quickly google (i.e. The Lutery) instead of having to google the whole page and search through it for inns as the players get antsy.

It quickly gives you a few key places that players might want and the 'interesting thing' about the location (big old moat in this case) and the map with numbers on lets you know quickly what PCs can see and how far they are from things. Then you can slam a pre-made city encounter like a pickpocket or whatever near the entrance which 'leads' them to the location in question.

THEN you can do your own googling if you like, but it's good for when players throw a curveball and go the wrong way. Or if they aren't going to stay but want to know one or two things.

There is no info in this pdf that is not found in the wiki, u waste more time downloading the pdf. That and there are only 3 buildings listed, he lists the moat as a point of interest...

Use the wiki, save brain cells and money

That's more a feature than a bug. It's for DMs who want it all on one page in a clear layout (that I designed) so they can just give it to their players as a handout.

If that's not you, feel free to not pay me for it. That's why it's pay what you want, you don't have to pay anything. But it does no harm by existing for the people who want it, nor does the ability for those folks to support me making more of them.

Also if you'd like to see versions of this idea for other cities which information is not as easily accessible, type in "visitors guide" in the search bar. I've done a lot more than just Sundabar!

Have a good day!

I'm not sure how providing zero helpful information is a feature, Todd Howard. But you see, this is the DM equivalent of making macaroni art but not gluing it to the page or arranging it in any manner that could indicate intelligent life, then charging a dollar.

The same effect can be achieved by throwing a box of Mac & Cheese on the ground, for free.

It has nothing to do with my ability to comprehend I wrote all this so others would know not to spend ANY money on it, Which is kinda the whole point of a review and discussion.

So thx for confirming that you have no idea what "Review and Discussion" means. :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
