Copperline Bank & Loan: a Bank Heist Adventure

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Test Your Skills as a Master Thief! The Copperline Bank & Loan is a short adventure for 4-6 players levels 2-5, and features everything your party needs to prove they are master criminals, from the hour-to-hour schedules of the bank executives to the NPC’s who can help bypass the bank’s security. Does your crew want to run through the front door with their weapons drawn? Or do they want to take a more subtle approach and carefully plot out every detail of the caper?

You can plan out every step of the heist. This adventure comes with everything a criminal mastermind needs to plan a bank heist:

  • Daily business schedules for the bank executives
  • NPC's in the neighborhood who can help with planning and preparation
  • Full color maps of the bank and basement level vault
  • New tool set: the Safecracker's Tools
  • New feat: the Cat Burglar

Want to make things more exciting? Try one of the Complications included in this adventure to see just how well your party handles surprises during their heist. It wouldn't be a real heist if sometihng didn't go wrong.

If all goes according to plan, your party might just make it out of the bank with arms full of treasure. There’s only one way to find out. Are you up to the challenge?

This adventure is also included in Kilvyn's Guide to Lockpicking. This adventure is bundled together with Kilvyn's Guide to Lockpicking so that, if you enjoy the adventure and would like to buy the Guide, you do not have to pay twice for the adventure. Both books include full size player maps for the Copperline Bank.

Updated January 21, 2021: By request, have updated the loot tables to greatly increase the amount of money in the bank vault. There was already a fortune in that vault, now it's enough to make an elder dragon envious.

Note January 2024: The Copperline Bank & Loan adventure was first published nearly three years ago. Any similarities to Baldur's Gate 3 are unintentional.

That depends entirely on how the party chooses to approach the job, and which adventure hook you go with. If they want to go in with weapons drawn, taking hostages and forcing their way into the vault (like in the movie Heat or the GTA mission Three Leaf Clover), it might take only one session. If they want to take a more subtle approach using trickery and meticulous planning, talking to NPC's and casing the bank before they attempt the burglary (as in Ocean's Eleven), then it could take as many as three sessions.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
