Van Richten's Guide to Korvidas

ADD TO WISHLIST >

"Korvidas is the perfect DLC companion to Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, adding an additional lycanthropy-centric domain of dread with a brooding darklord and several fun story hooks and ideas." - Eric Watson (review)

"A guided tour, by Rudolph van Richten himself, of a fascinating expansion realm in Ravenloft. Fight lycanthropes, or choose to join them in staving off extinction at the hands of Miro Kulenov. David McDonough has done an exceptional job once again." - Cra S.

A small, heavily forested realm, Korvidas is dotted with farms and small towns. Yet this is no ordinary place. Dark shapes prowl the forests of this domain, while scarecrows stand quietly amidst the towns and farms, watching and listening.

A Darklord sits alone in his manor, cursed to become what he had spent a lifetime hunting. An undead rival waits patiently in the wings. And a secret society places hope on the arrival of adventurers.

The domain of Korvidas is in need of heroes. Will you answer the call?

In this product, you will find:

  • a description of the domain of Korvidas and its Darklord, including key locations and a random encounter table
  • statistics for several new creatures, including the Darklord and other NPCs
  • a introductory mini-adventure for characters that are level 2
  • several adventure seeds that can be joined together into a mini-campaign
  • new magic items and a new character option (lineage): the moon cursed

David McDonough is an editor, writer, think tanker, and recovering academic in Ottawa, Canada. He is the author of the bestselling adventures The Priest, the Witch, and the Lost Temple,  Undermountain: Caverns of the Many-Legged, and Twilight at Eventide.

Found another one for you....

On Miro you have the range of his shortbow being 30/120 (range of a hand crossbow) instead of 80/320 which is a shortbow

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
