The Forge Ignites...

Welcome to 5th Reforged! This supplement contains a number of alternative rules, new system additions, and new character options. The goal of this project is to help D&D play to its strengths as a game of heroic adventure, power fantasy, and fun with friends, and to slowly help it move past some of the mechanical baggage it's picked up through its many iterations.

This first forray into the Reforging process brings a whole new group-led progression system that ties power to responsibility. If you want the characters to be more powerful, the story advances to accommodate that by changing the adventure's scope.

5th Reforged - Stage One also includes all of the following features (and more):

• Magic spellcasting implements -  Casters want loot too!
• Weapon Effect system - Low damage rolls now give you interesting tactical options!
• New rules further differentiating melee playstyles.
• New Feats.
• Alternative death and Injury rules.
• Formalized ability check thresholds.
• New spellcasting rules that further differentiate spellcasting playstyles.

All of the new rules can be used piecemeal - choose which you want to use a la carte and leave the rest behind. Give everyone at the table a voice in what kind of adventures they're having with 5th Reforged.
