For everyone who has ever felt misunderstood beneath your swooshing single bang, here is the College of EMOtion for bards who want to whip out their dingy composition notebooks, angstily brood, and get a whole subclass's worth of features and abilities based on some of the emo-est of emo lyrics from the 2000s and on.

Please note this is a parody subclass, but you are perfectly able to use it in games, as long as your DM is willing. And if they're not, you can always write a really scathing poem about it and perform it at the next open-mic night.

The College of EMOtion ain't a scene, it's a Nine Hells arms race. Very much a non-traditional learning environment. Bards who tread this path draw power from within, capturing their thoughts and feelings in verse in a much-loved and well-worn notebook. Occasionally poignant and meaningful, their poetry and song mostly consists of dark imagery, nihilistic themes, melodramatic self-deprecation, and unrequited longing for a person or creature entirely out of the bard's reach.

Bards of this college typically keep to themselves, but sometimes feel their writing is so profound that it must be shared with others. Often done in taverns and inns during evenings when the guests might be invited to perform for lack of professional entertainment.
