DUNGEON BUILDER 5E

This module for Fantasy Grounds UNITY has over 200 random encounters, 34 dungeon tiles with LOS,  160+ individual tables, 40+ player aids, monsters divided into 9 biomes or planes, and two encounter ideas for a bit of fun (you may have to be a bit old to get the joke).

How it works - Load the module, open the reference manual, and then simply follow this 4 step process:

  1. Roll the master table.  This gives you all the information about the dungeon including player aids to choose from.  Your entrance map tiles are located in your assets and are ready to go with LOS (only tiles in assets have LOS!).

  2. Create a new image and drag and drop tiles from assets onto your new map.  The LOS will click the images in place!  Some maps have minimal objects so you can add your own and others are more flushed out.

  3. Click the pathways/rooms table and generate your first room.

  4. Repeat step three and continue to drag and drop dungeon tiles to complete your dungeon.

Any monster encounters, traps, puzzles, treasures, locks, etc will populate and provide links.  To take advantage of the automation please have the original Monster Manual (monster links) and Dungeon Master's Guide (treasure tables) loaded.

To have a bit more control of your encounters they are divided up into biomes.  When you roll a specific biome table, it will roll the random encounter and any treasure.

All outputs (except random encounters) are in story mode so you can quickly drop pins onto the map you are making in real time. Random encounters will create an actual encounter when you hit the generate button.

Thank you for your purchase!  If you would like to see any additional tiles or features please leave a comment below.  Player aids are from The Forge Studios whose permission was obtained for use in this module.  You can find them on Patreon.

The images will not currently load in FG Classic however the tables do work.  I will be making a separate module for images for classic soon.

Love your work. would this convert (assuming we can go in and edit) to PF1e reasonably? I would think it is mainly gutting the creature tables and modifying the CR type values to fit, and items if they are included. and I assume this is not available directly on FGU via forge?

Yeah the encounter tables would need to have the PF1 monster added to it but should definitely work.

Thx. Looks like the tables are locked, and I can't add or edit them. did I perhaps miss something on loading it? I loaded in a completely clean PFRPG with basic PFRPG books loaded and the Dungeon Builder. Thx (Morenu on FG forums)

You need to make a copy of each table so you can export it. Otherwise it won't save from campaign to campaign.

I can't set it up. I bought it, I downloaded it and it says it can't run on my computer. It doesn't know what program to access. Please advise. Thank you.

This only works inside fantasy grounds. It goes in your module folder. And when you load your campaign you can load the module. If you mistakenly bought this send DMs guild a message for a refund

Excellent dungeon builder for all DM styles. Allows for quick generation of a dungeon for a fun dungeon-crawl in the spur of the moment or for use during DM prep when adding a dungeon to your weekly game. I enjoy the fact that the tables are separated by biome type and allow for quick plug and play action in FGU.

Been using this to generate a layout that I then tweak here and there to get my desired result but it creates the initial layout and everything for you with just a few clicks.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
