EB-15 Dream Eater

RIDE WITH THE DINOSAURS!

Across Eberron, the spirits of the dead stir as the Order of the Emerald Claw draws back the veil to Dolurrh. To avert calamity, the adventurers must cut a deal with an infamous bonecaster of the Talenta Plains - the Dream Eater - and her pack of loyal tyrannosaurs. Optimized for APL 15, this is the second in a trilogy of adventures, the Engines of War storyline.

Welcome to the Oracle of War campaign, a new 20-part standalone story for the D&D Adventurers League! You can play this adventure as part of your own Eberron: Rising from the Last War campaign, or as part of the Oracle of War organized play campaign. While this campaign runs under the umbrella of the Adventurers League, it utilizes different rules. You can familiarize yourself with these unique campaign rules by checking out the Oracle of War Player's Guide and Oracle of War DM's Guide, found in the D&D Adventurers League Players Pack.

The adventures usually are very complete with the included stat blocks for NPCs, but this one left out one glaringly needed NPC. The Ancient Red Dragon. The other shortcoming I noticed was that while the dream battle does mention the possibility that the characters will have plenty of time to use the Oracle of War for assistance, it just points out the standard benefits its ownership provides. No real advice (in cryptic phrasing) is given. Very unlike the previous adventures where it's expected to be used.

I have a question about the Dream Eater's ritual. One of my players is a Kalashtar. Aren't kalashtars unable to enter the realm of dreams, by their nature? Is there something different about this dream, or are DMs supposed to handwave it? Should I keep this character on the ground battling demilich/other wraiths while the others battle the dragon, or what? Any clarification would be appreciated.

I see there is talk of 18 being released soon but, umm... where is 16 and 17? and ep 3? or have those not actually been release yet?

Regarding the negative energy effects, it specifies it only triggers when healing another creature. I assume that means creatures who heal themselves with spells or powers will not gain negative energy points?

Just to check, is the demilich of the dragon's skull still meant to be tiny?

Good point, we'll consider boosting it to Small in any later revs.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
