A pdf of resources for DMs, with set dressing, NPCs and other original material that expands and adds detail to your Candlekeep Mysteries adventure.

- The Bored Weasel - a selection of NPCs to talk to, and menu for the tavern

- Encounters & Events on the Road - combat and challenge encounters for the journey

- Searching Vermeillon - set dressing for the ruins of Vermeillon

- Finding the Mayor's Family - suggestions for a side quest

- Meenlock Hallucinations - a list of different hallucinations to creep your players out

- Items in the Platinum Mine - interesting items found in the midden

Supporting material - A set of fully detailed battlemaps

- Vermeillon village - giant village map

- Vermeillon interiors - the Mayor's house, plus blacksmith, stonemason and three generic houses.

- Platinum Mine - huge mine map

Maerin - The Bored Weasel tavern and part of the market

- The Road to Vermeillon - mountain road for encounters

We've included 2 extra maps (not mapped out in the Candlekeep Mysteries book) to help you play all the encounters in the adventure.

We also amended the Mayor's House to correctly reflect the text in the book. The text refers to a door under the stairs. This has been added, and the landing section (which is technically part of the next floor up) shown on that level.

Included:

A pdf with DM resources and tables

PLUS:

A pdf with 300dpi images ready for A4 printing

A set of 300dpi full size jpeg files, for poster printing

A set of 72dpi (140x140px) jpeg for Roll20 & other VTTs

Roll20 Ready images of the original maps - drag & drop to replace existing maps in the Roll20 module

n.b. The pdf includes an overlap of each page to allow alignment when sticking together.

Note - The Platinum mine pdf for home printing has a white background, but the layout from the book doesn't really consider printing efficiency, so lots of white space! Also provided as full jpegs for poster printing.

The village of Vermeillon is a huge map. A 50x50 crop is provided for home printing (covering all labelled locations) , and the full jpegs are there if you can find a printer that can manage the full map!

Hey, great kit. It helps a lot running the adventure and it gave me several ideas to add to it. I have a question thou: is there any way I can find the rooftops that you use in your vermillion city map? (payed or otherwise)
I'm doing some cool stuff with the map (using foundry vtt)so that players can access the houses directly but it's been a pain recoverin the rooftops form the main map..it would be great if possible, if not thanks anyway for the amazing kit!

Had a really nasty problem with the vermillion map, which is impossible to upload to roll 20. I kno there are "roll 20 versions" but the quality of those are thumbnail tier. The one in the VTT folder which i've been using in previus packs is just 2mb over the limit for r20. Unable to manually chop those 2 mb because the file will turn out way heavier (ended up at around 130mb once). I'm sad this happened, been loving to use these maps :/

Is there a way to chop those 2mb of the complete vermillion map? r20 has a limit of max 10mb files even with subscription, quite ridiculous.

It's a very large map, isn't it?

I've just uploaded ultra-compressed versions of the full Vermeillon VTT maps that are under 10mb. I'm surprised your resizing produced such large files! Anyway, these now meet your requirements.

In future, for any VTT maps, if they're just over the file limit and you have access to editing software, you can chop the image in two, and then place them together in the VTT.

Anyway, you won't need to do that for this, since it's I've added resized images.

:)

Much appreciated!!! I tried cutting it, resizing it with various programs, but it seems doing that broke down the compression and ended up literarly 130mb! haha. Thank you so much for the help. Looking forward to finish these one shots with your maps! it has been great so far :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
