A Murder Most Fowl - A One Shot Murder Mystery

Nest-led in a tiny speck on the map outside the Cloakwood, Raven Haven is a bastion of aarakocra living on the Sword Coast. Being just a day or sos travel from Candlekeep, Beregost, and the Friendly Arm Inn, and less than a week away from Baldur’s Gate, Raven Haven should be a bustling little trade hub. But the reputation of the Cloakwood and it existing just off the beaten path makes it a relatively unknown destination. Whether your party is already at Candlekeep or is on their way there, a postal courier for the town, Carrie Pidgeon, will deliver them a letter from the deputy mayor, asking them for help.

The letter explains that a beloved philanthropist has been murdered and has befuddled the local Case Quackers (police.) The party is offered 150 gp by the office of the mayor to aid in solving her murder. The letter requests the party meet the deputy mayor at the Crow’s Nest tavern the following morning. Two more deaths will occur before the case is cracked open like an egg. Townsfolk are split on whodunit. The party must work together to piece together clues; ultimately finding that it was a frame job to combat those who support deforestation.

A Murder Most Fowl is a 2-3ish hour one-shot with interesting NPCs and puns galore. A Murder Most Fowl is balanced around a party of four level 3-5 characters.
