Hi,

I just purchased this map pack and can't wait to print it and use it. However, I was hoping to print it using large-size printers which support double the size of regular printing paper (A3 in Europe).

Do you hava an idea of any easy solution for resizing the images/merging the images, to allow for such a print?

All the best!

Hey! Thanks so much--this is a good question.

It's -possible- that there may be an advanced option in your printer dialogue that allows for it to print two 8.5x12 pages on one A3 paper in a way that would merge it for you. But assuming that's not an option, what I would suggest is converting one of the "complete map" JPEGs to a PDF file (if you search "jpeg to pdf" you'll find a number of easy in-browser options for this), and then using our existing printing guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uk2xa1mH-NPskgO6wVRKnktd0kifVhlp/view) to "blow it up" to the intended size which I imagine when printing with your desired paper size would divide that up for you as appropriate for separating amongst multiple A3 papers.

Hope that helps a little! Good luck!!

Thank you for your response and suggestions. After some trial and error, I ended up printing them in A4 instead. I ran the cave yesterday (6 hours, 4-7 rooms left) and my players really enjoyed it. I had some trouble finding the right pages at the right moments (I obviously should have prepared more) but it was really fun.

I also bought your Castle Ravenloft map and spent loads of time cutting out every single room, marking them and sorting them into floors. That took way longer but the experience when running the castle was amazingly smooth (despite the fact that my players ignored almost all of it (they went straight down to the catacombs after finding the secret passages in the organ and then in Rahadin's room).

All in all, I really like both these additions, but the Ravenloft one is by far my favorite. I can't imagine what I would have done without it.
Thanks a lot!

I will attempt to make this brief... I was first interested in this because Wizards decided to change the map square sizes mid module (LMoP) and I wanted something that was consistent with what me and my party started with. This was absolutely the right choice. Not only is the map the same size as the previous maps in the adventure but it's been reproduced some amazing details and in a style of art that I really love.

I have the ability to print the maps on my own so it wasn't an issue to resize them in Photoshop to get them up to snuff and fear not because the upsizing didn't distort the images AT ALL. I couldn't have been happier.

For me, as a bonus, the miniatures are in the same art style from the map and they, too, are amazing. Again, I originally bought this pack for the maps but I will certainly be using these minis.

And one last thing that really sold me on all of this, as if I needed more... the Creator is attentive to any questions or comments made here. That to...See more

Hi,

I just purchased this pack, but I'm having trouble to find the correct dimention to fit in Roll20 VTT. What is the scale in squares for Wave Echo Cave Complete - VTT-min.jpg ?

Hey Mauro! Approximate number of squares should be 70 squares wide x 88 squares tall. Not 100% sure if the Complete map will line up pixel-perfect depending on what you're seeing in roll20, in which case I'd recommend using the gridless variant with a platform-specific grid overlay. If you're looking for the number of pixels per square, for the VTT version it's 150 pixels.

Hope that all helps, thanks for purchasing!

In the description it says there is a PDF for a printable version of the cave map. I purchased the product, but I can't seem to find that PDF in any of the folders provided. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful!

Hey, I was looking to purchase this but I wanted to ask if the map for the Cave was in the 5 inch measurement or the 10 inch like the one in the module

Hey Matt! We made it specifically for use in actual encounter play so the grid matches a 5ft square scale, unlike the 10ft grid used in the map in the module. Still matches up with all of the room descriptions, but this way you can use it with all of the miniatures included as well!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
