Pact of the Dragon God

ADD TO WISHLIST >

A Draconic Warlock Subclass for D&D 5th edition designed by Raymond O'Connor.

All Proceeds Go Directly To The Doctors Without Borders Charity.

Good and evil dragon deities play an enormous role in many D&D adventures and settings.

Tiamat, the five-headed god of chromatic dragons, threatens the material plane in Tyranny of Dragons and plots in schemes in Descent into Avernus. Bahamut the lawful good god of metallic dragons stands ever vigilant against her machinations, ready to lend strength to those who would oppose her.

Nicol Bolas plots the demise of the planes in both Ravnica and Theros. Ugin the Spirit Dragon must be returned to defeat him, but which mortal soul will he form a pact with to grant them a chance of resurrecting him in time to face Nicol Bolas?

These are gods in their own right, far more powerful than even the most legendary ancient dragons. Of course, they would entreat the aid of humanity the same way that devils, fey, genies, and Lovecraftian deep sea aberrations would.

Transformative Gifts

Accept the gifts that these dragon deities offer and gain the powers of elemental dragons. Low-level warlocks that choose the Pact of the Dragon God will be able to transform parts of themselves into dragons to adapt to their environment. Medium tier pact members gain control over the elements. They can re-flavor their spells to emulate draconic breath weapons.

Need a Black Dragon’s acid breath? No problem, use acid typed lighting bolt.

The 14th level capstone gives players that pine for True Polymorph,  early access to dragon transformations.

New Releases

Just like Unearthed Arcana, we need people to test and break our designs. Please consider filling out the feedback form linked in the PDF.

We will be posting periodic revisions to the product as the internet undoubtedly breaks it. Check back and see if we have changed abilities to rein in any undue power creep.

A flavorful and solidly designed warlock patron. The Pact of the Dragon God fits in neatly together with the official warlock pact options, and each ability it gets feels substatial with nothing standing out as being too powerful. I can especially reco [...]

I think this is a great addition to the warlock patrons. Any time I can put dragons in front of my players, I know they are going get excited. But there aren't that many opportunities to do that at low level. Which can be frustrating because you [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
