Looking to add some mechs and mayhem to your campaign? Look no further than the Manual for Exo-Chassis and Automatons!  A necessary addition to any high fantasy, high magic D&D 5e Campaign setting.

Magical Mechanical Exo-Chassis (MMECs) are large controllable robotic suits that can fit seamlessly into any campaign setting with the optional story background found at the very beginning of this expansion.

Included in this expansion are:

20+ spells from the new School of Automancy, a class of spells dedicated to powering and using MMECs and automatons to your advantage.

10+ weapons, including armor piercing variants, used to take down enemy MMECs, and Arcane Arms, specialized firearms that dish out what ever damage you want them to.

10+ vehicles, including 2 air, land, and sea vehicles, and 11 different classes of MMEC, each of which can be modified and upgraded to fit any situation or play style.

20+ monsters; a handful of automatons and MMECs and MMEC Pilots of varying difficulty.

5 new subclasses, including the School of Automancy Wizard, Way of the Iron Fist Monk, Circle of Steel Druid, Armor Piercer Ranger, and College of Clockworks Bard

And of course, featuring the all new class, the MMEC Pilot, and it's three subclasses, the Ace, the Engineer, and the Scrapper.  Their weapon of choice is a giant robot, nothing can stand in their way.

Good stuff, I really like the effort put into the pilot stuff and the mecha variants. Can tell you put a lot of work into it overall and nice bits of custom lore sprinkled throughout for use or inspiration in using the materials yourself. Can't wait to see the finished version, only "downside" if you can call it that is the lack of the finishing touches to presentation, it not being a proper PDF (not a big deal), and I was kind of hoping for some humanoid robotics/potentially a construct/robot race as well alongside all the good mecha stuff. Would love to see you do a revival of the old 2e Mechanatrix race or a Mechanoid/Android race for PCs of some kind.

Hey, thanks for giving such a long and thoughtful response! I definitely agree with you on the finishing touches part. It needs some art, and I would love it to be formatted like many of the other books. However, that all might have to wait until it's filled with all the content I want in there first. And I actually would like to add an Automaton Race, however, the nature of Automatons makes them somewhat similar to the Warforged Race. However, now that you've mentioned the Mechanatrix Race from 2e, I'll look into that and see what inspiration I can draw from it!

Thanks for the feedback!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
