Collected here are over 50 original and updated stat blocks for animals and dragons ready to drop right into your game! Including art, lore, and in some cases educational material drawn from life, Eoth Khlastan’s Revised Encyclopedia of Great Animals and Draconic Beings brings to you inspiration to spice up encounters on the material plane and beyond.

If your druid has ever wild shaped into a cheetah but you’ve had to resort to using the panther stat block on the fly – If your party has ventured across the planes and you need a dragon suited to the environment – If you’ve ever used a hippo as a set piece and ended up in unexpected combat, forced to improvise – Need to know why you shouldn't eat barracuda? - This book has your back.

That's not all! For the DMs, there are 11 magic items that you can drop into your games, from two new bags of tricks to a set of belts that grant a character draconic constitution.

Players are also given options here in the form of five subclasses that bring out a more bestial side. Hunt large creatures more efficiently with the Path of the Leviathan Hunter Barbarian, fight with a primal savagery with the Circle of the Oldways Druid, or even become a king of certain animal families with the Animal Lord Ranger archetype.

A project of passion, you can pick this title up on a pay-what-you-want basis as my way of giving back to the community in hope that even players on a budget can get adventurous.

For those who do toss a coin, half of the profit will be donated between WildAid and The London Zoo to support the wildlife in the real world’s bestiary.

  • 57 new creature stat blocks (30 beasts, 25 dragons, and 2 figurines of wondrous power)
  • A compiled list of each creature in the document by environment with their CR included for quick referencing.

  • 11 Magic Items (12 if you include both figurines of wondrous power as their own item!)
  • 2 Spells(for the dragons, but also viable for players!)
  • 2 Diseases
  • 1 Poison
  • 1 Template
  • Many Fun Facts
  • And you can support some good causes!

From just the preview I knew this would be worth every single penny. The flavour text, the art, the additional IRL fun facts (not to mention the insane amount of stat blocks for creatures I've been PRAYING the Wizards to make official) are all won [...]

The Revised Encylcopedia is clearly a labor of love. The beasts and monsters are flavorful and fantastic and the sheer amount of extra dragons is staggering. If you have been getting bored just metallic or chromatic dragons, this tome has you covered. [...]

Great stuff, I'm incredibly excited to use some of these monsters, magic items, and subclasses in my own games! Each creature in the book has its own flair to it and it's very clear to see the creator has put so much time and effort into this [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
