Sven's Adventures: Collector's Edition

The Last Day of Sharn takes you and your players on a wild ride through time and space, on a quest to save the characters' lives—and the whole of Sharn.

Teeming with mind flayers, giff, gith, and time travel—this adventure is sure to mess with your brain—and not just because the mind flayers want to pry it out of your skull!

A tier 2 adventure, optimized for 5 players at level 7, that will give you 2-3 sessions (6-8 hours) of fun! The adventure can be scaled for a party of 2-7 players at levels 5-10 and compressed to 4-5 hours of game time. There is guidance inside to easily make this adventure fit any setting, not just Eberron!

The venerable githzerai anarch Nar’lar’ran has been captured by the nefarious illithid! She is held captive on one of their nautiloids, en route to a secret base to undergo interrogation. She is one of the greatest leaders and philosopher-kings of the githzerai and the illithid will squeeze all they can from that ancient master-mind—before they feast on her brain itself.

Nar’lar’ran had herself captured on purpose to get control of the flux capacitor, a temporal manipulation prototype installed on this particular nautiloid. The anarch has contracted an independent giff company long ago for just such an eventuality—and an extractor team is on the way. Unfortunately, it does not seem like the assault of the giff is going all that well… They succeeded in breaching the nautiloid but got bogged down by the illithid servitor creatures and defense systems of the ship. Their ship destroyed during final approach, their only hope of survival and—more importantly!—fulfilling their contract is now to breach the command deck.

On the bridge, the illithid commander is fighting its own losing battle—the giff assault has crippled the controls of the nautiloid, and if it cannot get it back under control, it will inevitably crash into the planet ahead…

…where the party is currently enjoying the Race of the Eight Winds, one of Sharn’s greatest festivities of the year! Their doom seems inevitable, with the nautiloid aimed straight for the City of Towers. Even though they know nothing of it, their annihilation is mere minutes away—and there is nothing that could possibly prevent it.

Except that Nar’lar’ran has grasped the opportunity presented to her. The nautiloid’s systems are failing, damaged during the giff assault. The arcane shields of her holding chamber down, she is free to teleport out of there. She realizes that the battle for the nautiloid is lost, the giff will never retake it in time. There is just not much to teleport to, and the nautiloid is about to crash and annihilate the city below… and that is a prize the anarch is not willing to pay for her survival.

So Nar’lar’ran grabs some of the illithids’ experimental temporal devices and departs—looking for some worthy adventurers to take up the call to save the day… The Last Day of Sharn.

Love the adventure. I'm planning on throwing it in our Tomb of Annihilation campaign for a sneak peek at Spelljammer (which we will be playing after our current campaign concludes).
I noticed that in the magic items section the description for the Temporal Amulet seems to be wrong (it's the same description as the Giff Grenade).
Again, love this little introduction to Spelljammer and can't wait to explore more once it releases. Keep up the good work!

A minor comment, before I write a full review. There was a read aloud text that reveals the identity of one of the gith (referring to him/her as a gith) before that identity is fully revealed! That was a hilarious moment - foiled by the game book. Surprisingly to me the players hadn't caught on yet that we were dealing with gith interference, even after the time loops - they thought this was fey tricksiness!

In the first chapter, it is mentioned "The locations these events take place in are marked on the DM version of the Skybridge Map." But I do not see a map in the PDF, nor the Maps PDF. What am I missing?

Hey, thank you for bringing this to my attention! That is an error, there is no such map, so this part of the text should not be there. I have deleted it and uploaded a new version, to avoid future confusion!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
