This is a module for the Fantasy Grounds VTT.

Includes Unity NgZ6Rud.jpg

Five years ago, you and your companions separated to search for lost clerical magic without any luck. Now you all have returned to Esmeltaran where you meet a strange nomadic couple, wielding a powerful staff. Rumors have spread that the staff has the capability to save the lands and restore clerical magic. All the while, Draconians begin to ravage the lands while they search for this Blue Crystal Staff. Can our heroes restore the lost clerical powers and save their land?

Hello Jason. Incredible work! I see that you have converted modules DL1 to 4. Do you have plans to continue converting the whole war of the lance campaign? I must admit that I would be eager to buy your modules if I could know that I will not have to finish the conversion work myself ;-)

Thank you ever so much for the kind words. Well, I ended up going through a life emergency that set me back several weeks. But... I'm glad to say that I've been diligently working on DL6 Dragons of Ice and am about 80% done now. DL5 is a reference manual that might get added later as a Pay What You Want. I'm hoping to have DL6 Dragons of Ice on the DMsGuild sometime in September. After that, I'm looking at adding the subsequent modules every 3 months roughly. Hope that answers your question!

Yes it does, thank you. I'm satisfied with your release schedule. I will never be able to play them faster than that! I hope your life emergency is not too serious. Take care.

Thanks for the heads up. I've bought it ;-) I'm about to start DL1 (re-converted back to Krynn !) in the coming weeks. If you want, I'll post a playtest review afterwards.

I can't express how happy that makes me to hear that. Not to get into details, but life has been quite difficult for me recently, and that puts a lot of joy in my heart. Thank you again!

Are there maps of Solace and other places in the module or only encounters?

Good question! So currently it comes with every map that the original paperback came with along with multitudes of encounter and random encounter maps. As for towns and other places, I currently have one: the Haven Councilhall for if you’re party decides to go to Haven in this adventure. As we speak, I am actively working on a few new maps such as Solace, the Inn of the Last Home, and Haven. Almost done with the Inn but I’ll be honest, Solace and Haven will take me a while. Thanks for your comment!

I don't use Fantasy Grounds but would love to run these 5e modules in standard tabletop. Is this available in a standard PDF format?

Sadly it is not. As the creator of this product, I originally tried to keep a PDF on the conversion as well, but soon found that it was highly time consuming. I could not keep up with modifying the PDF every time I modified the Fantasy Grounds product. I'm sure there's some great paper/pen conversions out there. Dragonlance Nexus is a good start!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
