Curse of the Sugarplum Fairy

A SILVER BEST-SELLER!

It's the Feast of Fealty! The movers and shakers of the empire have gathered to honor Queen Marie, the Imperial Matriarch of the House of Sugar & Spice. Or, as she is known to bad little goblins who won't stay in bed, the Sugarplum Fairy . . .

But something sinister is afoot tonight! The famed Doompa Doompa Artificer Drosselmeier, absent from the court for over two decades, has returned, bringing with him a most humble gift for the Queen, a simple nutcracker. And he brings something else: rumors of a horrible beast with an unquenchable craving for revenge: The Piper King!

HILARIOUS HOLIDAY-THEMED TWO-SHOT ADVENTURE!

This festive, rambunctious holiday adventure takes place in two parts.

In Part 1, adventurers attend the Feast of Fealty and survive assassin's blades, the drunken Ogre fangirl Lady Quietbottom, bloody duels with hostage princesses, fanatically loyal Banana Guards, enticing Candy People, and the gluttonous delights of the Imperial House of Sugar & Spice.

In Part 2, they delve into the legendary House of Mouse, battling terminally stoned Sucromancers, murderously adorable Polichinelle, and a cadre of war-hardened Mouseketeers (who, frankly, have had enough of all this nonsense) as they seek to rescue Queen Marie from the monstrous Piper King and retrieve a treasure of unrivalled power and value, the Everlasting Gobsticker!

Designed for 4-6 5th-to-6th-level player characters, this 39-page adventure is packed with ribald roleplay, creative problem-solving, vicious violence, and all the sweets you can eat!

FOR FANS OF 'ADVENTURE TIME' & 'WILLIE WONKA’!

Inspired by the classic ballet The Nutcracker, Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Pendleton Ward’s Adventure Time, this adventure should appeal to players looking for a new kind of world to adventure in and an opportunity to laugh!

TREATS FOR ALL YOUR GOOD LITTLE WIZARDS AND WARRIORS!

5 new weapons, including the Cocopuff Grenade, Peanut-Brittle Crysknife, and Redvine Slinger!

12 new magic items, including the Spraycan of Scrubbing Bubbles and the Figurines of New Hope: Her Worshipfulness, The Handsome Nerfherder, and The Big Walking Carpet!

25 NPCs, including the overly enthusiastic ogre fangirl Lady Quietbottom, Feral Snowpeople, Gummybears, the terminally stoned Colonel Callypygia Candycorn, Mouseketeers, the Rhinocomouse, Sgt. Stu Little, and, of course, the Piper King himself!

ICING ON THE CAKE! THE COMPLETE USER'S GUIDE TO SUCROMANCY!

A 19-page guide to all things sugar and spice and everything nice . . . and not so nice!

3 new playable races! Candy People, Doompa Doompas, and Peppermint Tieflings!

4 new subclasses: Sucromancy Arcane Tradition, Confectioner Artificer, Sugar & Spice Divine Domain, Golden Ticket Sorcerous Origin, and Sweet Tooth Otherworldly Patron!

42 new spells and 36 sugar-sprinkled versions of your old favorites, including Frosting, Bubblegum Bang, Mentos Volcano, Waffle of Well-Being, Atomic Fireball, Cloud of Pure Imagination, Wall of Cake, Cinnamon Challenge, Rainbow Gummi Cthulhu, Yinzer’s Magical Cookie Table, Conjure Caramelemental, Garden of Candy-Coated Delights, Mantle of Scrumpdillyicious, Party in a Box, Power Word: Mangia!, Miss Havisham's Wedding Cake, and Everlasting Gobsticker!

WHO CAN TAKE A RAINBOW AND WRAP IT IN A SCREAM? THE SUGARPLUM CAN! THE SUGARPLUM CAN!

Ran this as a one-shot for friends. They enjoyed it very much and there were a lot of laughs. One friend was a professional dancer and performed in many Nutcrackers. She appreciated all of the inside jokes. The subclasses are my favorite part. They are [...]

I had the opportunity to playtest this adventure as the DM, and my entire group had a blast. The mood of the adventure is both deliriously off-kilter and macabre, which made for many hilarious and tense moments. For DMs, this adventure offers al [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
