Has anyone come up with a ‘fix’ for the reward scoring table?

This is great! Great collection of puzzles, I used elements of this combined with a free DnD escape room puzzle online (https://www.importantfun.com/post/escape-room) to balance out combat & riddles. Definitely will continue to draw on it every time I need to spice up a dungeon! Like Thibault said, a bit more prep for a VTT but it's to be expected.

The errors that everyone and particularly Oleg mentioned still exist:
1) It seems to be an error in Handout 2-3 on p.29. It seems the sixth letter under the dots should be Y not C.

2) I can't understand how to use REWARD SCORING TABLE on p.10. The "Total points" column has the pluses from previous scoring table, not total sums.

Nothing I can't work around or adapt to but would be good to have a fix in a future update! Thanks for your hard work, will definitely be purchasing more of these :)

Hey ! Just ran this with a group of 3 friends. They loved it ! It demands a bit of preparation for virtual tabletop games, but it works out great.
Just hope the second cipher puzzle gets corrected in an update, players had a lot of trouble with it, and just saying "yeah, there's an error here, let me help you" kinda breaks the whole "all alone against puzzles and mysteries" atmosphere.
Otherwise great fun, motivates me to include more puzzles and other things in my homebrew games ! Thx !

Ran this with a group of 3 and everyone loved it! I do hope the typo in the Cipher puzzle gets corrected in an update, however. I also agree that the reward scoring table needs some clarification/correction. Even with those, I still highly recommend this!

I'm struggling to understand the "Reward Scoring Table" on page 10. Seems the "Total Points" column is off

Great stuff! But I have a couple of questions:

1) It seems to be an error in Handout 2-3 on p.29. It seems the sixth letter under the dots should be Y not C.

2) I can't understand how to use REWARD SCORING TABLE on p.10. The "Total points" column has the pluses from previous scoring table, not total sums.

Thanks!

Are there licensing limitations for use in published material?

Hi Alexander!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. The material in this product is copyrighted by the DMs Guild and the creators. Some of the art is used with permission from Wizards of the Coast.

Does that answer your question?

Nope, haha. I mean can your puzzles be used in a published module for sale on DMs Guild or elsewhere? :)

I was thinking of purchasing this supplemental material, but two people have reported issues with the same puzzle and that is making me hesitate. Is the puzzle that is being questioned accurate the way it is published? Or just difficult to understand or something else entirely?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
