Hi!
I bought the maps and was going to set them up in my VTT when I stumbled upon a twitter post from the author about some remastering of some maps. The picture with the two different maps (the outpost from the Night Land) showed an amazing improvement, the remastered version was WAY better than the original. I wanted to ask if there's a way to get the remastered versions of the maps (I couldn't find anything on the web)

If you are using Roll20, do not buy these maps.
A lot of them are way to large for Roll20's File cap size (5mb)
All the maps have these little Stars on them to map the grid, however they are not aligned, most of the map's little grid guides don't line up with Roll20s grid. (Some of of the star guide rows and columns on some of the maps aren't even straight, thus really messing with map and grid alignment)

I bought this map pack because i didnt want to burn time making maps for each module, however, i now spend more time each Module fixing these maps, rather than building them.
After finding that all out, I deleted all these maps off my local machine, and starting building my own Maps.
Out of 20 somethin dollars and back to square one, but I now have a bunch of maps on my DM Guild's Account that (for me) is pretty worthless in Roll20.

1. Pay for a Roll20 licence you cheap bastard. Alternatively, use the 70 or 35 ppi versions of the maps, which have had their resolution lowered to adhere to Roll20’s specifications.
2. The grid guides (where available) and square markers are aligned accurately for 70 or 140 ppi, dependant on map resolution. Please learn how to use your (free) software before complaining about your purchases.

If I could offer you a refund for your purchase I would, but I can’t, so I won’t. Please don’t buy any more of our products.

I am also using the Roll20 free tier (my group only intermittently uses it as a backup if we can't meet in person, so I can't justify going all-in on the subscription cost). But I still found these maps usable with the following steps:

1. Downscale the resolution of any extra-large maps using basic photo tools that come with your OS
2. Use Roll20's "align to grid" tool to adjust the resolution in the software as needed
3. Hold down the ALT key to manually adjust an offset map position to match the grid. Not every map size is defined in a whole number of grid blocks; some maps have additional "outer features" which don't take up an entire grid square, so they will appear misaligned if they are allowed to "snap to grid" when you first place the map.

I particularly recall struggling with the EB-01 maps (which I believe were not originally produced with Roll20 compatibility in mind), but later adventure maps got easier to use, both due to the improved...See more

The description says one of the Epics is "Judgement of Iron" (which is also the name of adventure 10) rather than "The Iron Titan". I hope the bundle has the proper maps, despite the erroneous content list.

Hi Keovar,

Thanks for spotting this typo, now corrected. I can confirm that the bundle includes the correct maps for the first epic, The Iron Titan.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
