Title

Birds sing as the sun rises over the green hills of a small woodland, a light wind carries the scent of fresh beginnings in the summer air. A band of adventurers starts out on the forest trail from their overnight in Red Larch, well-stocked and prepared for the journey ahead to their new destination in the southern edge of the Sword Mountains. The group treks deep into the undergrowth, certain an old logging trail will shave half a day off their travels, unaware of the change in the foliage around them, the sweet smell of floral distracts as the thick vegetation becomes a more guided path. The time for exits is over, as dense greenery block any escape for the adventurers, making their only way forward down the Garden Path...

Hello! I played (most of) the first segment with my group and we had a blast! Question - the Oblex sidebar in part 1 mentions a Monster Stat Sheet in the appendix. I can't see to find this appendix...is this something included in the module or just grab oblex stats from other D&D sources?

This looks so fun! Any chance this is scalable to a tier 1 adventuring group?

Hey Kelly! This adventure is tons of fun, the puzzle adds the extra "oompf"! The game has been written for Tier 2 but you could depower and reduce numbers of some of the more "wave" battles that do happen through out to align closer to a Tier 1 adventuring team and possibly insert more short or long rests depending. Entirely up to the discretion of the DM/GM and Down the Garden Path is sure to push teams to think strategically and tactically to survive the garden and hope you have a blast playing!

Well this is a late response but an uncompressed PDF would be nice, just because I love the art so much and reading the adventure on an iPad, it just looks gorgeous.

I was so honoured to participate in the inaugural stroll Down the Garden Path. The puzzle element of the key kept me super engaged. It was great fun to play. Thanks for all of your hard work Matt. This is a beautiful game.

What adventuring Tier is this appropriate for? I see nothing that indicates character level or tier.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
