Piccolo (the possessed monkey)

"Is No Fun, Is No Blinsky!"

Our friend Blinsky, the toymaker in Vallaki with the cute monkey wearing a pink tutu, recently received a large inheritance from a long-time client. Blinsky used the inheritance to create an island and toyshop in the middle of Lake Zaorvich, calling it Blinsky’s Toyshop of Marvels.

The inheritance also included a silver tiara, kept safe in a black, satin-lined ivory box. Blinsky thought the item to be too beautiful to keep in the box and thought it would look so cute on his precious Piccolo. So, he placed the tiara on Piccolo’s head. Sadly, as Barovian luck would have it, the tiara imprisoned the soul of an evil wizard who not only controls Piccolo but has also animated many of the toys in the shop.

Blinsky’s Toyshop is designed for three to five 3rd–7th level characters and is optimized for five characters with an average party level (APL) of 5. The final battle may be deadly for characters below 5th level. Approximate playtime is 2 to 4 hours depending on the playstyle of your table.

Greater versions of creatures are included, allowing you to run this adventure with higher-level characters.

My group and I had a blast doing a rescue mission in a toy store. They enjoyed their new toys and naturally I secretly sewed a Strahd puppet for the (un)lucky player bonded with him. Gave puppet Strahd a Count von Count voice and Thunderclap whenever provoked to count.

I enjoyed the colorful maps and art in this PDF and luckily had a collection of toy tokens that came in handy.

I love that you included tokens, but just as a heads-up, the token for the toy soldier is messed up. The picture bleeds outside of the border.

Thank you for the comment. I'll try to get the tokens updated soon.

this looks brilliant, I loved Tasha's Madhouse. One note though: Curse of Strahd is super gothic horror... these maps are too cutesy and colourful to fit with Barovia.

This is set after the curse is lifted when Strahd is killed. At the end of Curse of Strahd there is a discription of the fog clearing and the world becoming colourful and beautiful again.

Do you have maps without the lines? I would like to do a clean upload into roll20.

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
